I've had the Alienware 27 inch qd-oled for about a month now. I really like it, especially as it's a "semi glossy" rather than matte. I only use it for games or netflix though as I don't think they are suitable for general desktop use. I'm also worried about burn in and haven't really got over that yet to just use it normally!

I do see the VRR flicker and it does have quite aggressive brightness dimming if too much of the screen is high brightness. It looks nice in hdr mode and I leave it in this by default, then use the nvidia fake hdr in most things seen as hdr isn't great on pc. It's a good upgrade from my Samsumg g7 that I use for desktop work (which is also a very good VA screen).

I seriously considered the samsung neo g8 mini led but but I want 27 inch not 32. I think mini led (with lots of zones) is probably the better balance between the two for multi purpose use if it came in more sizes.

O also as per the review, in bright sunlight coming through the window, the black of the screen does show up as a purple tinge, but in the dark I think you can see the how much better it is!
