Ive got to level 34 in the msq quests (2 jobs to around 40) , so I can do all these limited time events now. Haven't done any of these daily roulettes yet though, just been blasting through the msq and blue+ quests while attending fun casual in game events with the free company I joined.

Only lasted a week on the free trial before caving and buying in. Thanks for highlighting the game on here the last few weeks. I thought I was done with long and gigantic time consuming games like this, but it really is something special. The community is so friendly, positive and non toxic surrounding this game which is such a rare thing.

I'm glad you are having fun! I've played many mmos but the FFXIV community is something I've never experienced before. Of course you meet some less friendly, impatient people sometimes, but the majority is very helpful and kind. Having an FC which does events really makes a difference, from the FC I joined I even met people who became RL friends.

My partner played WoW for years and said he was done with mmos, but during lockdown when we needed some distraction I got him into FFXIV and we played almost every day since then.

If you have limited time, I'ld say focus on the MSQ and the blue quests, you'll have enough exp from them to keep up. The daily roulettes are good if you want to level additional jobs or if you get to lvl 50 (and then at the end of each expansion) where they will give you tomestones which you need for the best gear, but just because they are called dailies, don't feel pressured that you have to do them every day. As you progress there will be tons of different combat content, and ways to gear up so you can find the one which you have time for and enjoy doing.
