Todd Howard said before launch that there were "over 1,000" planets in the game, all fully explorable. IGN has an interview with a player who's actually gone and surveyed them all, and discovered that the real number is closer to 2,000. More than just a headline, it's interesting to hear what 'DoomZero' thinks of planet variety, and what Todd's statement actually means for playable content.
