You mean there are people out there who don't have every job at lvl90? (Just joking of course, I love our sprouts)

I'll definitely try it out, loved Bladedancer in Lineage II and was hoping for a dual wielding job ever since, so looking forward to try this out (but if the caster ends up being Green Mage then I'm staying a caster main)

I am about to lose my road to 80 double xp boost after 90 days next week even though I'm only around 65 on bard and summoner and lvl 60 in the msq. Just going through the Heavensward patch content before it moves me into the Stornblood expansion.

Annoyingly my server lost its preferred status for new players due to the increase in population so it's by by double xp earlier than I hoped.

This expansion is still quite a way away so I should be finished by the time it comes round. I've never played a mmo/expansion at release time, always years later. I'm quite looking forward to the chaos of everyone doing the same quests at the same time instead of just seeing the occasional person outside the main hubs and group content.

The realm reborn areas 1-50 were all decently populated but when I moved into Heavensward it was a ghost town compared. I get the feeling the game loses a lot of new players in that massive stretch of 80+ quests and mandatory raid you have to push through to get out of the first game and into the first expansion.

Up to that point you can solo everything then it throws you in the deep end with no duty ai support possible for most of it.

Sadly there is no NPC help for alliance raids and trials, just the main MSQ dungeons, so indeed that can be a shock for those players who played most duties solo with NPCs up to that point. They trimmed the quests down a bit between ARR and HW, but it's still a lot, and it's a 'beat it or it breaks you' situation, quite a few people give up the game there.

The double xp for preferred server is nice, but don't worry, you'll be swimming in xp by the time you get into Stormblood. On my alt I'm still in post Stormblood patches but have 2 jobs at 85.

Endwalker was the first expansion I've played on release and it was both chaos with the queues but also a lot of fun, meeting new people and doing things together. Looking forward to Dawntrail and see how that will be.
