Love the original burnout games. Burnout revenge was also excellent on the Xbox 360. Wasn't keen on the open world one which went against everything I liked about the series.

Not sure about a new one with all the modern stuff it would be full of these days (micro transaction tat), but I would love remasters of the original series.

The open world one, Burnout Paradise, seemed to review well, but I dropped off before that came out.

What was so different between it and the earlier ones? I imagine that not being confined to a track meant the chance of interactions / crashes was lower.

If they did a remaster bundle, which titles would you want them to include?

I really liked the crash junctions and retrying them in the old burnouts. paradise didn't have them at all, there was a crash mode of some sort but it wasn't the same thing at all. Crash junctions were more like a puzzle to solve to top the leaderboard in the originals.

Burnout was all about super fast arcade action and crashes in a fairly on rails arcade race. Quick pick up and play races in a set order, retrying over and over in the later levels. Paradise you had to look at the map, decide what you wanted to do, navigate to it like driving to a GTA mission, start the race then at the end to retry, drive all the way back to the start again.

During the race you had to spend most of your time and effort trying to navigate from a to b and not take wrong turns rather than the mindless fun of the race action in the originals.

I'd be so down for this! I loved the ones before Paradise as I felt tehy were more fun, I got Paradise and enjoyed it but felt the open world thing just slowed down the chaos!"

Yeah that's what I was wondering. They did a remaster a while back, but I don't know if it's the sort where they tweaked and updated a few things.
