So I would choose GTA V - But I would keep with the original storyline and simply add in some bad ass actors. Now this is not meant as a "cop out" bounty response, I just do not see the need to change what is already a great storyline that would translate into an amazing movie with the right actors playing the right roles.

Will Smith would play Michael De Santa Jason Stratham would play Franklin Clinton Kevin Hart would play Trevor Philips Margot Robbie would play the head of a Government agency that is hugely corrupt.

I would then bring in Denzel Washington, to play the head of the Police Force, because in most movies he is always the good guy or agent of some kind and plays that role amazingly.

Ok I will cast for GTA 5 THE MOVIE! Lets do this! Steven Murrayberg in the Directors seat haha

Michael - Actor: Jon Hamm

Jon Hamm has the right blend of charm and intensity needed to portray Michael, a retired bank robber living a life of luxury and deceit. His experience in "Mad Men" as Don Draper shows his ability to play a complex character balancing personal and professional turmoil which would be ideal for playing Michael!

Franklin - Actor: Michael B. Jordan

Michael B. Jordan is a versatile actor with a proven track record in both action-packed and dramatic roles. jordan’s charisma and on-screen presence would make Franklin’s journey compelling, highlighting both his ambition and his struggle to escape his past! I was also thinking ice Cube but then thought maybe not as I went for someone younger so the group can have more of a mix & dynamic between them!

Amanda (Michael’s wife) - Actor: Christina Hendricks

Christina Hendricks, known for her role in "Mad Men," would be an incredible chouice to bring both the allure and the complexity needed for Amanda in GTA 5, who is constantly struggling with her own issues while trying to maintain her family's facade!

Trevor - Actor: Billy Crudup

Cudrup's eccentric and intense performance in "The Morning Show" make him perfect for the unhinged and unpredictable Trevor. Crudrup can capture Trevor's chaotic energy and dark humor easily in my opinion! If you haven't seen the Morning Show give it a watch on Apple TV, its fantastic and just imagine Crudrup dialed up to 10 then you have a poretty solid Trevor waiting in the wings!

Devin Weston AKA main bad guy! - Actor : Robert Downey Jr

Robert Downey Jr. easily crushes this role and brings a mix of charm and menace, perfect for the ruthless billionaire Devin Weston. His role as Tony Stark in the Marvel Cinematic Universe highlights his ability to portray a wealthy, charismatic character with a darker side! Plus he could also provide some slick banter with ease as Humors gotta play in to the GTA cinematic universe!

I could keep going but this would be my core cast and I think it would be a blast if the correct writer and director were put in charge! Maybe that coluld be a follow up bounty!?

One of my favourite Grand Theft Auto games and games overall is Grand Theft Auto IV. Not only does it have one of the strongest stories in the series being a re-telling of the American Dream from an Eastern European immigrant only to be shattered as he enters the world of organised crime but it also explores other themes and subcultures of the city through the single player DLC. I want a TV series to act as a 'unofficial' fourth episode of the Liberty City circa 2007 focussing on the Asian American gangster life of Triads or Yakuza. In Grand Theft Auto IV, it was mainly Italian mafia focussed (apropo to the setting being a stand in for NYC) so seeing the events play out from again a different perspective would be interesting. Each episode would be like a mission or two (such as a strangers mission to introduce you do other characters in the series). I don't want the Grand Theft Auto game protagonists to feature too much in the episodes but big set pieces in the game: bank heist, chase across the river, drug smuggling that featured all the characters, I'd want the episode to show either what preceded or what happened later

Liberty City's Chinatown is a mess. The power of the Asian gangs has fallen due to in-fighting and the rise in power of other gangs within the city. The story focusses on an younger gang member seeing the writing on the wall and makes a play for the top position using social media and information to infiltrate and co-ordinate attacks. But how can he reconcile the old ways with the new?

Casting: Ki Hong Lee - Protagonist. The everyman. I want a young Asian actor that is able to display both youthful innocence but also capability in physical attributes and charisma (like all GTA protagonists do). However at the end of the series, I don't want a sudden realisation of what actions he had done and guilt, I want the protagonist to stand tall and accomplished in his actions.

John Cho - Older Brother. I want the protagonist to have a wiser more street smart mentor/ older brother guiding him and advising against making too many waves in the organisation especially if he is too young and making too much noise. I want a flashback episode to show that the older brother was in a similar position but 'flew too close to the sun' resulting in how Chinatown is in the state it is.

Sydney Sweeney - love interest and confidante. The bridge between West and East. She could be a daughter of on of the capos our protagonist has to face or a neutral party. She provides assistance and reconnaissance during set up of missions.

on the previous bounty i created the idea of GTA Birmingham. so im going to cast my movie based on that concept.

GTA BIRMINGHAM - Steel City Shadows

Tom Hardy as Jack Callahan: A seasoned criminal with a mysterious past. With the classic tom hardy peaky blinders accents

Cillian Murphy as Liam Conch: The charismatic rival gang leader. playing a very similar TS role, this would draw fans of PB in.

Melissa Barrera as Elena Vega: A strong-willed ballerina caught in the criminal world.

Dan Stevens as Victor Kane: The suave but treacherous villain.

Kathryn Newton as Nora Hayes: An investigative journalist unraveling the city’s secrets.

William Catlett as Detective Marcus Turner: A conflicted cop torn between duty and morality.

Kevin Durand as Ivan Petrov: The menacing enforcer.

Angus Cloud as Rico: A street-smart informant.

Alisha Weir as Mia: An ambitious young gang member.

Giancarlo Esposito as Don Salvatore: The ultimate crime lord. Again using the actors to their strengths.

Plot: In the gritty streets of Birmingham, Jack Callahan returns after years away, seeking redemption.

Liam Conch, his childhood friend, controls the underworld.

Elena Vega, a talented ballerina, unwittingly uncovers a conspiracy that ties Liam’s gang to corrupt officials.

Nora Hayes, the relentless journalist, investigates, while Detective Marcus Turner struggles with his loyalties.

As tensions rise, Ivan Petrov’s brutality threatens everyone.

At the center of it all is Don Salvatore, pulling strings from the shadows. Loyalties will be tested, alliances forged, and blood spilled in the battle for Birmingham

OK PICTURE THIS

Kinda artsy, stylised, Tarantino-esque film adaption of GTA V (maybe he could even direct it who knows). Lots of shoot outs and dark humour!

Here's my cast list :p

Willem Dafoe as Trevor. Dafoe is great at playing 'wacky' characters (as seen in the lighthouse, amongst others') and so would capture the essence of Trevor's character really well in my opinon!

Trevante Rhodes as Franklin. Rhodes was impeccable in moonlight and can bring a lot of unspoken emotion to a character. I'm sure my sensitive soul was maybe imagining this a bit, but there was something about Franklin that always made me a lil sad. He seemed to have a tough time of it and it would be interesting if a film adaption could bring some more explicit emotional depth to his character. Rhodes would be perfect for this!

Michael was a harder pick but I think I would go for somebody like Ben Affleck. He has a bit of a look of him. Affleck is also good at playing complex characters where the audience struggles whether to root for him or not. This kinda mirrors how gamers feel about Michael. We like him! but he's kinda.... not the best person ever?

For all the side characters it would be great to see actors who aren't actually professional actors and are instead just locals to the area. This would be a great way to capture the authenticity of the area GTA V analyses.
