This is really sad; the team has been working on this for five years. I interviewed Rod Humble in 2019 at the outset of this project and he gave the best answers I've ever heard about how emergent gameplay is crafted at a technical level. Clearly the project has been struggling and from what little gameplay we saw, a lot of polish was needed, but given the people involved I had hopes it would become the ultimate life sim.
