At the very start of Critter Café, it's explained that a travelling witch is responsible for the mysterious portals popping up over Gold Leaf Isle, and that your character, once enchanted by childhood stories of the witch's adventures with her critters, has been feeling "lost and without purpose for a while". It's your friend Jessica who hooks you up with the café on the island, where you discover the portals and the critters therein.

There's a lot to dig into there, so for this reward, we want you to make a video that either explains or extends the lore of Critter Café! You could summarise the in-game lore, dig up hints and add your own speculation, or create entirely new story ideas of your own and give us a bit of video fan fiction!

Your video must be at least five minutes long, feature your own original writing and plenty of in-game footage from Critter Café, and be submitted through connected social media. This is a podium-finish reward which will only close and be judged on March 25. The top prizes will go to the most creative and compelling videos which tell the best stories!

Some inspiration and ideas: who is the witch, and where did she go? Where did your character come from, and why were they without purpose? Is there more to Gold Leaf Isle, Jessica, or the critters themselves than meets the eye? Or tackle a question of your very own. Think of YouTubers like VaatiVidya, who blew up for unearthing the obscure lore of the Dark Souls games (very much like Critter Café, I know) and also for speculating about it, and coming up with theories linking its different elements.
