Introduce your pawn and their backstory for $4!

Even though you have three pawns in your party, only one of them is your pawn. Created alongside the Arisen at the start of the game, you'll travel everywhere with your pawn (provided you don't have to kill them if they catch the dreaded Dragonsplague), so we want to know all about your faithful accomplice.

What's their name? Did you model them after anybody in particular? What vocation do you usually have them set to? Can you come up with a brief introduction for their past, in the style of a D&D character sheet? What are their strengths and weaknesses?

Tell us all about your pawn - a little pawn fan fiction, if you like - and eight of the best will net $4 each!

My pawn goes by the name of Jane. Jane has served Arisen in previous times and dimensions so is very experienced. Nothing is a surprise in this world to Jane She has seen it all before, including the constant incompetence of the many arisen she has served.

She is a pretty happy, multiskilled companion, that takes great delight in pointing out when I'm making a mistake or thinks we are doing the wrong thing. After countless deaths, she correctly doesn't trust my combat skills, so is always suggesting we should retreat to live to fight another day.

My other two pawns are switched around regularly and she rarely gets on with them, always criticising them for shirking their duties such as sitting around day dreaming, or falling of ledges.

Despite all this, Jane continues in her duties and has proved to be a superb companion, first serving as a fighter, soon after being given the archer role, and then later a warrior. She takes great delight and pride in telling the pawns we temporarily hire, about all the different roles she is capable in.

I do not like the term 'pawn' for my companion who aids me in my adventures. Given our shared journeys, I prefer to call her a partner.

Her name is Agripina, and she's reserved, rarely speaking of her past. As a vicious Thief, she often tries to please me with small gifts pilfered while relentlessly pummeling enemies with her sharp daggers.

I admire her combat style; she swiftly identifies enemies' weak points and strikes decisively. I've grown quite attached to her and dread the thought of losing her in combat, so I make it a point to cover her with my arrows, watching her back as she fights.

Her name is Azura, meaning Blue the color of justice, strong but also soft on the inside. Modeled after wonder woman and Conan the barbarian. Azura hails from a secluded Amazonian village. She is a fierce but kind hearted warrior who wields a blue enchanted named 'Zuli. Their village sworn to protect and aid the Arisen in their past lives and their reincarnations. When word of the new Arisen came Azura knew what she had to do. She tracked finally tracked down the Arisen in Melve and has never left his side since. In battle she is relentless and unending, smashing her foes to oblivion. At times when the Arisen doubts his abilities She is always there to comfort him. She is the light in the darkness. Even when the Arisen is injured and can no longer walk she will carry him through the depths of hell and back.
