It's well known to use a docking bookmark, especially when dealing with Jita 4-4 and valuable cargo, as shown in my video. However, not everyone knows you can set and engage autopilot even when using a bookmark. I’ve seen many people lose their ships despite using a docking bookmark due to network lags or disconnects. My elegant maneuver ensures you dock safely, even if high ping prevents the docking command from going through.

[Safety.] first!

After hours of thinking and theorycrafting and several unsuccessful ideas, I finally came up with something! Sadly I'm pressed on time and neutrals started piling up in local and shooting my stuff, but I managed to get this!

Not sure if this is interesting to anyone, but when I was looking at my killboard just now, I thought it might be funny to include the story of the video.

At first I wanted to do the old Cavalry-Raven trick on a bomber. This very old manoeuvre got famous by the YT video "Killing a Marauder in one Tick" but the idea died already in the theorycrafting part. In fact, my missileskills are so high, that I would have to speed up my bomber to 3.6km/s to keep up with the missiles. It is possible with a snaked Hound, but leaves too little traveltime to collect several torpedo volleys.

Then I recruited a friend and corpmate trying to kill eachother at the same servertick. This was possible with missiles and happened to me once, but we were unable to recreate the effect for the video. After several tries, we decided to find something else xD

Then I knew what we could do! We went up to the system I had left a Tornado in (Bad Security Status is not welcome in Jita) and we arranged several Reapers in a line. I had no idea it would be this tricky to fly a ship to the exact location you want it and have it stop where you want it to! I stared the recording, but sadly I did not target the ships in the correct order. When trying again, we were scanned down and just barely managed to warp the Nado to safety. By now, it was getting late, so I decided to go with the original recording. I did not turn out too badly, I just wish I would have had the idea a little earlier so I could have made a better quality video :)

Nice work Luka; I'm glad we had you racking your brains for ideas. Congratulations on first-place, you earned it!

Wow, thanks, I could not believe it when I saw the message! It was really a fun challenge!

I

I want to start by saying that there's an original video clause in the rules and I didn't fully understand what that was.
I can't use highlights from my stream or...?
Anyway, I decided to publish my material :)

In this short video you will see two impressive maneuvers. (in my opinion)
The first is the bait tanking. I pretended for a very long time to be a player who does not know what to do and got trapped.
The second is very risky MJD.
The moment I was at the gate everything went wrong and a lot of NPCs flew to me, which could have changed the outcome of the battle. These are the Edencom, they are powerful.
But I managed to get out of that situation without giving the enemy any obvious hints that I was in full control.
I lured the enemy to the asteroid cluster, in Pochven this ded-space and there you can not warp on each other.
Once I was where I needed to be, I started to drag out the fight to force the enemy to use the ships I wanted to destroy. All this time I pretended that I was about to die, forcing the enemy to make mistakes, while destroying only those ships that really bother me, without touching all the others.
When things started to get out of hand I took a very risky maneuver and jumped closer to the bomber fleet, destroying it in less than a minute. After that, I tried to make a few more frags and when things got really bad I got out of the battle alive.

Thanks iBeast. Currently, we can't verify Twitch clips so there are some original media bounties that you can't enter them with, but we're working on it. I also wanted to let you know that we've awarded you a prize due to the nature of the bounty, the high-skill displayed in the video, and the helpful explanatory text you provided. However, normally we don't award non-English language bounty submissions unless they have excellent quality subtitles (i.e. not auto-translated ones). We do hope to provide more language options in the future, but non-English language videos may not be accepted in future bounties. o7

A Hole in a Roid...

Usally most things in EVE are like bubbles and therefore most of the time you just will bounce off and don´t know why. So we lost the Idea... but deep in us we know it.
If there is a hole in a roid we need to get through it :P

The hole is real!
I repeat holes in EVE are real now!

I know I should have seen it coming from the music, but when Alfred popped up I almost spat out my coffee. This is great

does bumping a ship off tether count...? ahem... asking for a friend.... ahem! lol

Depends how stylishly you do it :P

I've thought about this endlessly and have not been able to come up with anything. Every time I think of something it is either extremely specific and hard to re-create, super subtle, or has been covered endlessly elsewhere. Of course, this could just be a lack of creativity on my part.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Well we've just extended the bounty for nine days, so if inspiration strikes, you know where to go

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Hey all, we've extended this bounty for nine days to give you more time to enter. That $30 top prize is just waiting to be claimed.

Just a short "trailer" video of Malleus I.

Malleus I are heavy fighters, used primarily against capital ships and structures. This makes the timing, positioning, and execution of their attacks pivotal in larger fleet battles.

Tactically, deploying these fighters effectively can change the tide of battles, especially in large-scale confrontations where fighter superiority plays a major role.

To making them in game, you need Outpost Construction IV or V to unlock their blueprints, or if you do industry (specially inventions T2/T3), which is very difficult to manage.

Hey dydo - thanks for entering the bounty. It's a cool video, but I'm afraid it wasn't quite what we were looking for in this bounty - we were looking for skilful manoeuvres and trick shots. Don't let that put you off entering others though, as with video quality like this you're bound to win some prizes in different bounties. o7
