There are plenty of great EVE Online ship skins out there designed with SKINR, so we've previously set a myriad of challenges for our community of capsuleers to design the best skins they can around specific themes. This article combines what we're calling the three N's, because the themes are nature, nightmares, and nobility. So without further ado, here are some great EVE ship skins designed by our community:
The best nature-themed EVE ship skins
First up is nature, which can be interpreted in a few different ways. From flora and fauna to anything that naturally exists without technology, all three of our podium winners opted for an animal angle.
1st: orik Kado
In first place is orik Kado, who submitted an entire tutorial video for their SKINR ship design, so anyone who wants to copy it can do so. They designed a vivid yellow, blue, and black ship based on a venomous frog, although they explain that while "looking venomous may save you in nature, it won't in EVE". Unfortunately, you'll need to rely on your own skills for that.
2nd: Limal
Next up in second place is Limal, who has designed a ship based on a Colorado Potato Beetle (pictured below). This isn't edible, despite the name, as this beetle is a bright orange to tell predators not to touch it as it's dangerous. Much like Limal's ship: Providence.

3rd: Sturmer
Rounding off the top three is Sturmer, who has followed the same insect theme, but opted for one much more camouflaged in colour. His ship is based on a silverfish, or the lepisma saccharinum, which means it's small, grey, and effective at staying in the shadows.
The best nightmare-themed EVE ship skins
Next up is our nightmares competition, which can be interpreted in an even more abstract way than nature. Especially fitting since we ran this at Halloween, encountering one of these in the pitch black of space would be terrifying.
1st: Angel lineman
The winner of our nightmare skins contest was Angel lineman, who has designed a ship with an ominous white face (mask? skull?) covering their ship. They gave some lore for it too, because imagine how you'd feel encountering this "lying in the grass next to a dead Keepstar."
2nd: Sturmer
Sturmer returns in second place in this reward, with a very similar concept to Angel's. He's named his ship "Bad Voodoo", and designed the skull face on a Leshak as "the Entropic Disintegrator ports act as eyes and perfectly complement the design of a creepy death mask". He also reckons "the triple angry eyebrows add a fantastic touch as well."
3rd: Luka Zaharin
In third place, Luka Zaharin has shared a video of their red and black ship with a paint splatter pattern, which makes it look more like blood. Here's what they had to say:
"I tried to make a scary skin without using one of the Halloween patterns, but this turned out so well that I had to share it. The creepiness does not come from the blood stains alone, but also from the fact that logistics ships should be lifesavers. I also quite like the blind eye effect of the grey plate at the front."
The best nobility-themed EVE ship skins
Finally, we have the nobility theme. Nobility and royalty go hand in hand so expect lots of regal designs, ships that would be fit for a king or queen.
1st: JHenckes
In first place, JHenckes has designed the "Imperial Royal", a strikingly charismatic ship with white, purple, blue, and gold, adorned with some intricate patterns. Only the richest would explore the depths of space in this.
2nd: yan57436
Next up is yan57436 who took inspiration from Jaime Lannister's armor in Game of Thrones to design this behemoth of a ship with plenty of red, black, and gold. He even included the "golden detail of the hand that was ripped off".
3rd: orik Kado
Finally, orik Kado returns for their second appearance, with another tutorial video for their noble skin. Here's their explanation for the purple and gold ship:
"I drew inspiration from the Amarr nobility and incorporated tones historically associated with this concept. However, I aimed to keep the design as simple yet elegant as possible."
