Speaking of True Detective, is it worth watching s2 and s3? I've seen many negative reviews, making me think of going S1 and S4.

It's been a while since I watched them, but I suspect if people had gone into S2 without the sky-high expectations of S1, then they probably would have come away thinking it was a fairly decent series. I remember finding parts of S2 very frustrating, but it had some great moments too. You definitely don't need to watch S2 and S3 for S4, but I'd say give S2 a try and if you don't get on with it, skip S3.

So at this point, I am watching:

Stargate SG1 because it's awesome, Iv'e just started Season 9

Then I will be watching SGA and SGU (Stargate Atlantis/Universe)

But will be watching Ark of truth & Continuum before I go onto SGA

I am a huge Stargate Fan obviously :)

Very nice. Is this the second time you've watched them all through or have you seen them more than once already?

Oh god this is like the 100th time, I just love it.

Recently binged From on MGM+. Very intriguing horror drama in a similar vein as Lost, but far more intense and gory. It’s got two full seasons with a third expected late 2024/early 2025. I’m practically itchy to see if my theories are correct.

I see they both star Harold Perrineau too. It's now on my list!

My wife and I are watching Chicago Med atm as we were watching Chicago Fire recently. We lost interest in True detective after the first season.

My partner and I just finished season 2 of The Boys, so to give us a bit of a breather I introduced her to The Office (US) 😅

There's not really anything new I've been watching.

I have been watching Roadkill and Roadkill Garage on HBO, both are old car repair shows that have been on for over a decade each. The hosts are likable, projects are fun, and it's shot very well. I've also been revisiting Home Improvement, which is a very strong memory from my childhood. I'm into season 5 and have hit stuff I just don't recall.

To be completely honest, I've been struggling to find a new good TV show :(

I recently finished yellowjackets and rewatched arcane! I love both of those tv shows <3

I've been kinda stuck just watching below deck (tacky reality show) heheh

I'm really looking forward to the new seasons of Yellowjackets and Arcane. Also, I've watched nearly every season and spinoff of Below Deck. I'm always here for boat drama; I love it!

the drama is always drama-ing it's great for some mindless consumption hehe

For me, it started off as background viewing while I was photo editing or doing some other task that didn't require my full attention. It quickly evolved into the show I most look forward to coming out every week.

I'm showing my partner Modern Family, because he loves the mock-umentary style like The Office and Parks and Rec, into season 2 now and he's loving it!

I've just rinsed Lucia Keskin's new sitcom 'Things You Should Have Done" which genuinely made me lol a few times but also gets pretty surreal in places.

My go-to drama at the moment is The Sopranos. My partner and I have been trying to get though it for a while but something new always seems to come up and disrupt our flow. I find it really odd that so few actors from a show as big and iconic as Sopranos have become household names. Aside from Edie Falco who was already a name before the show, none of them have really hit the same heights 🤷

I was happy to see Michael Imperioli pop up in White Lotus's second season. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend it as yet another distraction from the excellent Sopranos.

Oh yeah! I remember seeing him in that. What a show! I also loved Will Sharp in that. Big fan of his ever since he did Flowers.

But compared to similarly prodigious shows to Sopranos , there are no real A-listers that emerged from it - compared to The Wire (Idris Elba, Dominic West), Breaking Bad (Aaron Paul), or GoT (Emilia Clarke, Kit Harrington)

Will Sharp and Aubrey Plaza were such a brilliant, believable couple! Every scene with Jennifer Coolidge was wonderful too. And don't even get me started on the soundtrack. You're right on the Sopranos though; it's such a shame about James Gandolfini - that was a real loss to the world. I recently learned that he gave $500,000 to his co-stars after a payment dispute with HBO.
