One film that has never failed to make me cry is The Royal Tenenbaums. In general, the film is a silly, fun time, but towards the end Ben Stiller delivers a line that just manages to hit me in the gut every single time

Star Trek Generations is such a good one! Many people don't like that movie and I don't know why, it brings the old and new cast together so well.

Since we are on Star Trek I cried on The Wrath of Khan. If you know you know, if not then I'm not saying anything because spoilers.

Neverending Story, Artax scene

For me personally, for those who have seen LOTR, it was when they fled the Mines of Moria and they (the Film is so old, I don't think this counts as spoilers) think Gandalf died facing off against the Demon, the way they all crumple to the ground and are looking around in disbelief, it wrenches me every time, I can't help but cry. It's such a heart-wrenching scene.

As for the first film. I'm not sure about that one, I'm 38 so, seen a lot of films. Not sure how to answer that one, maybe The Titanic? the scene where he disappears below the waves? Probably my best guess at the first-ever film to make me cry.

Bambi - for obvious reasons. Yep, I'm a momma's boi

And the first like 15 minutes of Up..

Up is a great shout. I watched that on a flight, and I think the stranger next to me must have been worrying about my wellbeing seeing his neighbour blubbering 15 minutes into a cartoon.

The first film to make me cry would probs be the fox and the hound - it was the saddest film i had ever seen at 6 heheh

A film that makes me cry more than any other would be brokeback mountain - it's devastating

Friggin' Coco. I've seen it probably half a dozen times and I still tear up right at the end "no no she's forgetting him!" 😭

Kid movies are damn devastating.

A more recent film - Miyazaki’s ‘The Boy and the Heron’ is such a beautiful and sentimental reflection on grief and life after grief. The film is so disorienting that by the end you have no idea what you’ve just watched but what you do understand is the grief the protagonist feels for his mother, and maybe even the grief Miyazaki feels for the looming end of his career as a filmmaker as he gets older. Made me sob like a baby.

I haven't found the time to watch this yet, but I'm really looking forward to it!

first one I can Remeber is Trains, Planes and Automobiles at the end when John Candy (who I adored as a kid) was sitting outside in the burnt out car in the snow himself, used to feel so sorry for him I’d break my heart about it lol

Ugh the ending where he admits to Steve Martin what was really going on with him, impossible to keep a dry eye!

First that come to mind would be The Land Before Time and Charlotte's Web. The first ones I can remember crying from and they still make me cry to this day. Movies about life and how fleeting it is, or being separated from loved ones... those get to me! An American Tail is another one. OH and Armageddon, for as many laughs there are tears as well!
