Popcorn. That is the beginning and end of movie snacks for me. Great popcorn can elevate the movie-watching experience with fantastic flavor, transporting your mind to memories of great movie experiences. I'll even run to a nearby theater to just buy popcorn to watch a movie at home.

A raw veggi collection with dips.

You can eat more veggi than sweets before affect you bio in a negativ way. The amount is massiv even if you go berserker with dips like the qeen aka Mayo or the supreme leder Tartar or the God Remu... Don´t froget fresh cheese aka Frischkäse (DE)

Gourmet homemade Onionrings?...and how about some Pulled Pork + Colesalw as a Sandwich.

Well now I'm hungry. I want to see a photo of this secret recipe next time you make it too!

Honestly, ice cream has nothing on popcorn as a standard movie snack. It'd feel blasphemous to say otherwise. My favourite ice cream flavour is only available in a local Odeon, however, meaning I only ever get to eat it when watching a film. It's pretty much transformed how I see the snack because of the association.

If you ever have the opportunity to try Dulce De-lish flavour, seize it.

BUTTERED SALTED POPCORN

OMG, hardly any cinemas still sell it this way, instead the only options are usually sweet or salted, but Buttered Salted is GOD TIER! And if available I always get the largest portion size I can get... Then I enjoy every second of destroying it during the trailers before the movie starts... Then the movie starts and I contemplate getting another one....

Alex Sinclair's avatar

I've never tried buttered salted popcorn, but now I think it'll determine where I go to watch Dune 2

Lanah Tyra's avatar

If at home, then a nice cheese platter with red wine. If in the cinema, then I'll stick to nachos with cheese sauce and get a Corona with it.

Nicole's avatar

This is a high brow answer and I'm here for it

Dave's avatar

If it's unlimited budget I would go for pick and mix. Fill the bag up instead of worrying about the extortionate price! That would do me through the film but for the adverts and trailers beforehand I'd go for a large nachos with the warm cheese sauce to dip in.

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Nice choice. Unlimited giant strawbs.

Nicole's avatar

Starting with "unlimited budget" immediately followed by "pick and mix" is so painfully accurate that I burst out laughing

I’d have to go with the classic movie theater popcorn with an extremely unhealthy amount of butter. A nice, ice cold coke and a Hersheys Special dark bar! I always end up eating most of the popcorn before the movie evens start, so I’d definitely go for another refill. Like I said, extremely unhealthy, but I’m here for a good time, not a long time lol and we also have free refills at my theater, so I’m gonna take advantage of it and take some popcorn home with me

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Free refills?! Your local cinema should be glad that I'm not nearby. Long live the unhealthy movie snack!

Pop corn with coke it’s the best recipe for a movie night 🍿

Viking's superfood - lamb or beef jerky (dry meat).

Lots or proteins, no oils or fried. You can even call that shack healthy:)

If I'm at the cinema I have to have a selection, nothing too chocolatey so Malteasers are just perfect for that, but then I also need the chewy/fruity tang of something like Haribo Starmix or Tangfastics! And more recently Reeses pieces!

OR just a trip to get like a giant bag of pick n mix from a sweet store (screw those cinema prices!). OH! How can I forget that these bad boys have to make an appearance

Alex Sinclair's avatar

There's nothing quite like the thrill of sneaking your own snacks into a cinema.

EveOnlineTutorials's avatar

So, for our family movie nights, we have thus

  1. 1 bow of salted popcorn

  2. 1 bowl of sweet popcorn

  3. 1 bowl of original Haribo

  4. 1 bowl of Tangfastic Haribo

  5. 1 bowl of melted chocolate

  6. 1 bowl of huge marshmellows

  7. 3 pots of pringles (sour cheese, paprika, bbq)

  8. 2 big bottles of coke

  9. 4 cans of cider for me :)

Alex Sinclair's avatar

That's quite the selection. I dig it. My only complaint is the Pringles flavours; Salt & Vinegar or Hot & Spicy for me.

EveOnlineTutorials's avatar

Salt & Vinegar? Eww dude, ewwwwwwwww

Alex Sinclair's avatar

Haha, what can I say? I grew up by the seaside - salt and vinegar are in my blood!

Nicole's avatar

I'm with EveOnlineTutorials on this one - sour cream Pringles are where its at. And Tangfastics. And melted chocolate. Basically I'm coming over for movie night at your house!

Mine would have to be a sugar-packed pick n mix. To really get my pancreas groaning it typically would consist of American hard gums, fizzy fangs and skittles. Just to balance the food groups with something corn based, I'd then go for a side of chilli heatwave doritos and a large Pepsi Max (sugar free because I'm not a complete animal!).

My wife on the other hand has a more disturbing combo of sweet+salty popcorn with M&Ms and midget gems mixed into the popcorn. I'm awaiting support from a solicitor as to whether this would class as grounds for divorce...

Nicole's avatar

She's a genius and I'm going to start adding midget gems

JB

I'll be sure to tell her she's not alone!

Stella's avatar

Ben and Jerrys ice cream! Especially the brownie flavour.

Only problem is I'll accidentally eat it all whoopsie

Alex Sinclair's avatar

I reckon Ben and Jerry knew exactly what they were doing when they made their tubs at just the size where after a reasonable amount of ice-cream eating, you ended up thinking, "I may as well finish it now."
