Twitter/X has seen many changes since a certain billionaire took it over in 2022, the latest of which is a drastic watering down of the ‘Block’ feature.
There are plenty who say this change raises safety issues, disempowers users, and makes it harder to grow a following and curate a community.
Data show that users have been steadily leaving X since the 2022 takeover, yet the platform still had 67m active users between February and July 2024, so it must still have value.
But the question is: for how long? Do you use X? What’s your take on the recent changes? Is the Block change the last straw for you, or do you approve of the platform’s new leadership? We feel it’s important to talk about our changes and listen to feedback, but are there other ways to know we’re on the right (or wrong!) track? How can platforms grow and change while avoiding a mass eXodus of members?
Let’s talk: see you in the comments!
