Hey Dave, thanks for bringing this up. I'm sorry to hear you needed the form and even more so that this stood in the way of you using it.

I created the form and I promise it doesn't take anywhere near that long. While I take a look at the form you could send us an email to help@justabout.com.

Let me know if I can help with anything.

Nah it’s all good. I do a lot of reading (never posting) on Reddit and the amount of ai replies on there now really annoys me, especially when someone replies to them not realising it’s ai.

Anyway so I came here to read some well thought out human posts & the first bounty I opened & the first entry on it was as a big long blatant copy and paste from ai, “Let’s create a guide for you based on some popular content formats (such as video, podcast, blog, or social media)”, I mean come on! lol.

So annoying and disrespectful of the platform but also the readers / the communities time by “making” us read it.

yes! I saw a post on one of the bounties here with AI content that was blatant. Painful read. I didn't take the time to submit a report and if I'm honest I'm unlikely to put seven minutes into it. I want to click two or three times and maybe write a couple of sentences at most - then get on with enjoying genuine content.

I think I just found the entry you are referring to. I know the mods are very much keen on not rewarding such entries for bounties apart from the few exclusions where the use of AI is permitted or encouraged (like the few where you had to generate AI pictures for example)

But maybe it would be a good idea to pay a closer attention to bounties and warn the posters of such entries early on, so they can either update their entry if it was an honest mistake / language barrier that they didn't get the rules or standards. Or if it was posted along the "I don't care just want the money" mentality then it can be removed.

To have the middle ground between reporting actual harassment made by a human or flagging AI content maybe there could be two options when you report something, one quick button if you want to report suspected AI content (so mods can go through it fairly quickly) and a longer form to fill out for other sorts of report which might need a longer investigation.

I think there should be a happy medium. One-click reports result in overwhelming the system. Requiring direction from the reporter could make people consider what abuse is and reflect on what they're reporting. That said, 7 minutes is a chunk.

While taking a little longer to make a report can be discouraging, I believe that extremely fast systems convey an idea of disinterest and even impunity. The middle ground is ideal and indicates exactly that the company cares about what you are reporting.
