SMITE 2 Founder's Series - Stage 2 Swiss - NA Week 4 - Alec Hate Club vs Borscht

Game 1:

I believed that Alec Club would start the game proposing more, and that's exactly what happened, when at 2:30 Baskin ended up cornered in the lane. Up until the 8th minute, borscht managed to stay in the game and turned the number of kills around by taking advantage of a solo lane kill, but... As life isn't always easy, Alec Club managed to put up a great fight and turn the game into a 4-2, in an incredible team performance. I can't be precise, but at some point the Alec Club players seemed to “blur” out of the game, dying in isolation one by one, but still charging forward at times, such as at minute 15:50. However, minute 16:20 again reinforces what I said, after getting a kill, they suffer a 2-for-0 near their tower, not necessarily taking advantage of what they should have. From that moment on, the fights were entirely Borscht's, ensuring enormous pressure in the midfield and in the game. The main and final fight came in the 20th minute, when the game was already 6-20 to Borscht, and Alec Club simply lost the game in their macro.

Game 2:

Up until the 13th minute, the Borscht players just showed themselves to be better and more prepared, totally abusing the gaps provided by Alec Club, letting the game get to the point of 18-3, with Ratmilk having a 10/0 frag, simply destroying their opponents.Personally, I don't like games like that, I know it's not the game that losing teams expect to play, and that's precisely why Alec Club were extremely dedicated to winning, simply being smothered in the game, but staying alive. It's unbelievable to imagine that this game wasn't settled until the 37th minute, when it was 35-49, and settled as a 2-0 win for Borscht.I really like that spirit of sportsmanship, of never giving up.Congratulations to both teams.

This is a set I had casted with Musi and Tes, and we witnessed a bit of a...stomp, for a lack of better words, between Threat Level Midnight and Project Win.

SMITE 2 Founder's Series - Stage 2 Swiss - NA Week 4 - Name In Progress vs Food Drive for Globe Game 1

https://www.youtube.com/embed/oYj2T0JOoo4?feature=oembed

9:58 - Food Drive with Fenrir, Hecate, Neith, Loki and Amaterasu while on the Name in Progress side we have Yemoja, Bacchus, Cennunnos, Athena and Anubis. I thought the 2 comps were good but with a bit of an advantage for the Food Drive.

13:18 - First Blood for Food Drive, good gank from Loki, getting two kills very early in the game.

14:37 - Loki doing a good counter gank, getting 2 kills and even with Amaterasu's death, they ended up coming out ahead.

18:19 - Name In Progress was getting some kills, but they are still a little behind in the game.

20:46 - Loki and Fenrir were already very strong, managing to kill in basically any part of the map. Fenrir even managed to make it 2x1 without any problems.

25:16 - Here Food Drive gets 3 more kills across the map and I think that was the moment they basically got a huge advantage, almost guaranteeing victory.

31:21 - Food Drive manages to finish the Fire Giant, just needing to do one last fight and end the game. The advantage was already gigantic, making it almost impossible for Name in Progress to get back into the game.

32:15 - Food Drive managed to win the last fight relatively easily, managing to manage their advantage well throughout the game and ending with victory.

SMITE 2 Founder's Series  - Stage 2 Swiss - NA Week 4 - Garf's Goblins vs Scrumptious

Game 1

The link of the match is in the end of the analysis, and I’ll be talking about only the first game, I’ll point the time (in match time not the video time) that I’m talking about:

minute 0:40:  As you watch the match you notice the Scrumptious as a dominant team and looks like it's dealing so much well especially in the duo lane but it changes fast when both gods are countered by the enemy jungle, for just a bit their Neith isn’t killed. In the other lanes the Scrumptious looks likes is holding them without much danger

minute 5:00: The Garf's Goblins  try to engage against the enemy team and the Scrumptious react fast and the attack goes really wrong for the Goblins!

Minute 8:00: We have a surprise attack from Scrumptious against the Goblins who were maintaining their position to get the Gold Fury, an objective that they get, the Scrumptious were too slow to stop them!

Minute 13:00: We have another engaging team fight, now in the Mid Lane, it doesn't take too long since the rest of Scrumptious team arrive soon to give support making the Goblins dispatch for not getting killed and opening space for the first Mid tower getting destroyed

Minute 15:00: We have a dispute for the other Gold Fury and the Garf’s Goblins steam it from the Scrumptious

Minute 18:00: The Scrumptious kile the fire giant without any problem! But they lost the first Duo and Mid towers during this time, making those lanes more vulnerable! looks like it wasn’t that much o a good decision

Minute 20:00: AND IT WAS A GOOD DECISION, in a few minutes the Scrumptious advanced so fast in the Duo and Mid Lane and the Duo Lane they reached too close to the enemy base.

Minute 22:00 The Scrumptious enter the enemy base through the Solo Lane killing almost every single god from Garf’s Goblins and finally killing the enemy Titan and VICTORY for the Scrumptious

Cowabunga secured a convincing 2-0 victory against Name in Progress during Stage 2, Week 3 of the Swiss Bracket, first-picking Baron Samedi and Odin on each match, respectivetly. Yemoja and Neith were priorities too, being the only two gods selected on both games by Cowabunga's team.

Paul was playing as Anubis in first match, not with an lifesteal build, as tipically is (because of his lifesteal bonus passive), but foccused on pure Intelligence, mana and CDR, which matches with his upscaling Magical Damage abilities (build - Gem of Focus, Book of Thoth, The Cosmic Horror and probably going to Totem of Death).

I think this made a huge difference in first match, because Name in Progress team, specially patypeterson123 and MidLanerST, didn't knew how to deal with him and he ended up being the highest-level player in the match with a 6/0/5 scoreline.

However, the gold medal of the match undoubtedly belonged to Panitom (Mordred), who stole Gold Fury at the 19:36 mark (11:04 ingame). He buffed himself with his 2 (Bloodrage) for movement speed and physical protection "drain" and used his Level 2 ultimate to became CC Immune (read: unstoppable) and get near the objective ALONE among 3 enemy gods, stunning and killing one of them immediatly, and got an assist on another one as his ult follow up.

If Arkatlas (Odin) hadn’t leapt in to save (Kulkukan) with his 1 (Lunge), slowing Mordred with his 3 (Gungnir's Might), and Hostilepuppy601 (Jing Wei) hadn’t burned their ultimate to flee, Panitom might have lived through the fight and potentially wiped the rest of them, as he already had tree T3 items, in 11 minutes of match (with a hybrid tank-damage build - Pharao's Curse, Tekko-Kagi and Bumba's Hammer) and his team was approaching his position.

On second match, we've seen a more responsive Name in Progress team, although patypeterson123 and MidLanerST were fully countered again. Cowabunga granted their victory with Aror's (Yemoja) triple kill at 4 minutes of match and a great match by Panitom again (participating in almost 80% of his team's kills).
