For me its got to be the World Cup in Korea & Japan in 2002!

I was a HUGE fan of the Brazilian superstars like Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Rivaldo, Roberto Carlos, Cafu and so on so I was ALL in supporting Brazil at this world cup, with all the Nike Football Ads featuring them driving my anticipation levels of the charts, and they did not disappoint!

I have multiple memories of various games, I remember One of the Brazil vs Turkey Matches being on when I was in high school, then our teacher rolled in the TV on wheels and plugged it in so we could all watch it (More like he wanted to watch it but either way I was thrilled)! So this was a blast watching it with friends in school!

Then Next I remember watching the Brazil vs England game with my Dad on TV, First Owen got a goal, then Ronaldinho became the star of the show, firstly doing a stepover making Ashley Cole I think it was lose his balance, then a pass to Rivaldo to stick it in the net! Then scoring that free kick from miles out was just fantastic! And then Ronaldinho got sent off! What a game!

Next for the final, I was on vacation with one of my best mates families and another best pal, so the 3 of us got to watch the Final which was Brazil vs Germany in Centreparks down in England which was just fantastic!

It felt like it was Ronaldo who was the Best Striker in the world versus Oliver Khan who was the best Keeper in the world! What a battle!

My main man and the REAL Ronaldo did the business to get the win, which he should have got at the previous world cup in France 98 but something weird happened and it wasn't to be, so this was his redemption story! AND this was after 2 horrific knee injurys!

And another legend was the ref, big Pierluigi Collina!

All in, it was my favourite world cup ive ever seen, and in the lead up to it being in Korea and Japan, i dont think many had high hopes for it and a lot of the football was on early in the morning or right in the afternoon, but it was an incredible tournament and one I still watch highlights of to this day!

Football with players like I mentioned at the start of this story was just magic, they made things happen and went for it, trying to win, which made it so exciting to watch! The players seemed to enjoy it also and wanted to be at the World Cup!

I dont think I have ever been happier watching Football as it was all just absolute Magic!

I feel like this is the second bounty where I’m going to talk Man Utd overhead kicks buuuutttt….

The one that immediately came to mind was sitting in a pub, enjoying a beer and burger with my uni mate, watching the Manchester Derby (I want to say 2011/2012). The score was tied at 1-1 in the last 15 minutes of the game and Wayne Rooney scores this amazing winner. It was one of those moments where we couldn’t quite believe what we just saw!

Yep, we stayed for a few more beers after that.

P.S. On the other hand, most memorable for all the wrong reasons was losing the title to City on the last day of the season. In short, they needed to beat QPR and did so with a 93rd minute winner. But I’ll let someone else tell you that story. 😅

Good grief this absolutely has to be NXT Takeover New York

The worst travel day of my life lasted 27 hours (YES 27 HOURS) from Manchester to New York. Plane issues, Bus Issues, TRAM ISSUES, TAXIS ISSUES, HOTEL ISSUES. SUITCASE ISSUES. Every possible thing that could have gone wrong did

I woke up at 3am UK and got to my hotel about 6pm USA time in New Jersey and travelled to NXT Takeover New York in Brookyln

The main event was Johnny Gargano vs Adam Cole for the vacant NXT championship in a 2 out of 3 falls match. I've watched wrestling for a long time and usually in the big matches, wrestlers kick out of finishers. That happened in this match and then Gargano got hit with a finisher and got attacked by most of Undisputed Era (Adam Coles Faction) I was like okay this is the end of an amazing match

HE FLIPPING KICKED OUT OF THE PINFALL. I lost my mind, I was shaking my friend so aggressively in excitement, I couldn't believe it. Gargano overcome the odds and won the NXT title in one of my favourite wrestling matches of all time

The horrible travel journey was worth it

I've not been one for sports but if I were it'd be Ice Hockey. Just for the action, the speed, and of course the fights. I've recently started seeing a girl and a couple of months in I had met her family and extended family. She had a nephew that was a little socially awkward and introverted. Didn't have a lot of interaction with other people and often retired to the comforting glow of a screen.

I thought as a fun idea for us to do would be to go to a Ice Hockey game. Thankfully the UK doesn't have anything nearing the levels of the NHL so tickets were cheap but the atmosphere was amazing. I could tell he was really excited to see skaters on the ice, the lights, sounds, and of course, the tango ice blast. It was amazing for me as my partner and I and him all grew closer together from that one visit and I felt help him come out of his shell a little.

We still need to go again when we are all free nextime but I hope that it created a lifelong memory for the little Knight.

My favourite memory of live sports was watching Brentford FC, who is my local football club, get promoted to the Premier League. I've been to many games over the years and to finally see them make it all the way to the top was just such a fantastic feeling. Brentford have such a community feel at their ground, always celebrating big and small wins, fans staying afterwards to dance to the music and players doing a lap of honor. There's not many clubs like that around anymore and all the people within the club are fantastic. What a day of promotion that was!
