I miss my Motorola Razr really loved the flip phone it was so slim and fit perfectly even in tiny ladies' jeans pockets. I also used to have all these charms on it which I got from Japanese magazines.
I never had the old ipods but I had an mp3 player which looked like a USB drive, and fit so much music, moving to that from a Walkman was wild.
Awww yeah they were cool, I Remeber the moto razer v2 being super cool too, you tempted by any of the new foldable flip phones!?
I'd wholeheartedly recommend against it. While I loved the convenience of my Samsung Galaxy Flip4 and both the Flip5 and Flip6 have refined the formula, it still introduces another point of failure - and a large one at that. My screen broke within about 13 months and I wasn't exactly a power user of it. I love the way it fits in my pocket and adore the confidence I can have with no case needed to protect the screen but it just isn't worth the trade-off until the screen tech gets stronger.
What Damien said...
I was tempted by it, then read some reviews and too many people reported the screen just breaking randomly. Like not being scratched by anything, phone used carefully as intended and one day you unfold it and there's a crack across the screen. I would love to get one when the tech improves a bit but right now I'm not pain that amount of money for something where protecting it is out of my control.
I’M MISS MY OLD 📺 GOLDSTAR CINEMASTER 1996
And why ..? because anyway was not bigger and 4K hdmi like todays Tv 📺 was very advanced to his time with features like :
Pip Picture in Picture to see 2 tv channel and to hear the big screen by speaker 🔊 and the little by earphones like to have 2 tvs
From pictures in pictures you can frozen frames in the little one and change this little square to one of the four corner
You can turn ON the TV pressing any button
You can play TETRIS that came integrated in the tv l do it during comercials and make my brothers scream angry 😁
I can hear Radio FM on it
And any of this functions aren’t available in my 2018 SAMSUNG 4K tv
This tv Goldstar (Now company LG) came from me to my brother house and my mother Finnish his functionality in 2019
Awww amazing, I would love one of these to play some of my retro consoles on!
OH..!! Wow..!! Sounds Good to get this model today but for that we need a DE LOREAN 😀 from Doc
When my brothers and l Finnish to play baseball ⚾️ ( You know … Dominican 💪🏼)
I remember to go straight to play MORTAL KOMBAT TRILOGY in PS1 and the Stereo sound was simply amazing
To hear the deep voice of Steve Ritchie saying: -“BRUTALITY” ..!!!
Playing with my 3 brothers at mamas home and later in my home in Dom Rep 🇩🇴 is unforgettable
Now l’m in Germany 🇩🇪 and one of my brothers in the Heaven 😢
Oh you Goldstar used to be a very good brand.
Integrated Tetris? That's super cool!
Yes Lanah 😊
Goldstar brand is today knowing like LG (original name was LUCKY GOLDSTAR but today they mean LIFES GOOD)
And the Tetris includes in the TV 📺 was a very good add
I can't remember the exact names of the cell phones I've had, but I've been through several of those transitions... the flip phone, the one with the sliding screen, the one with the whole QWERTY keyboard haha, every innovation was fantastic! I also remember when the touchscreen started and it was quite a revolution! Today's cell phones are incredible, but that time of discovery was also very cool!
T-Mobile Side Kick
I'm pretty sure everyone at my 6th Form had this phone.
And if not they had a Blackberry but I assumed those kids were just trying too hard to be an 'adult'
Don't get me wrong, I love my glass slab lol. But, I do have a soft nostalgia-spot for flip phones. In my emergency bag I have a very generic Samsung flip phone because it will hold a charge while turned off for like, YEARS and you can still call emergency services without a service plan. I find myself flipping it open and closed like a fidget spinner sometimes.
Ha ha awesome! Now what did they use for battery tech back in the day? I have a Nintendo 2ds also which holds a charge for like forever!? It’s wild
Haha I think thicker device + MUCH less background stuff going on. I tested the phone battery while on, but unused and it lasted three weeks. Pretty wild
I miss my sony ericson walkman phones with hi-fi looking speaker peripheral. That was a great phone and no need for music apps, subscriptions and adds.
Awww amazing I had 2 Sony Erickson phones and they were amazing! One was the James Bond one I think it was the silver k800i, it had a fantastic camera with an actual flash built into it not like the led light flashes on phones of today!
