lol, it’s a “ conversational search engine” but it’s best use is using the social search option where everything you get back will be sourced from Reddit, forums etc instead of loads of seo optimised rubbish like Google gives.
But you can also set it to write mode for normal ai chat bot mode with premium models and usage limits.
Cool so what are you using it for a replacement search engine or for any other use cases? Just trying to think if I could use it for something content creator wise or not
I use the social search when looking for opinions on products & services etc. most things that I google, perplexity can usually offer a far better set of results (it summarises and gives links).
In terms of the writing mode and using it like a normal Chat bot. I use it for lite coding where I can code in plain English via ai without having to write a single line of code myself. If I want to make a website code change I can feed it all to the ai and ask it to achieve specific things. Some models are better than others depending on what you are doing.
In a general sense though I do also use ai a lot to have long conversations with, a bit like a drunken late night pub session where sometime you can end up In deep philosophical discussions about some obscure random subject or theory if that makes sense!
I also like to use it to try and navigate the strange world of human behaviour & social interactions . A little bit like a councillor I guess. It really helps me understand why things might have played out a certain way and the not so obvious (to me) hidden meanings behind words & actions that others might find more obvious. shame this can’t happen in real time in my ear though!
