Nvidia just announced a bunch of new 50 series cards At CES! If I save up enough to update my rig I think the 5070 would be a nice replacement for my 3080!
They are saying the 5070 has the performance of the 4090 which is wild if it turns out to be the case!
Anyone else potentially looking to upgrade their GPU in the future?
Also Good times to pick up discounts on 40 series, I bet some tasty 40 series laptops will be just around the corner too!

Yeah, but I'm 100% sold for the 5080.
5090 cost too much for that +30% performance.

Gonna build a new one with 5080 and a 9950X3D CPU

I got a 4060 in my laptop and a 4070 in my PC so I'm sorted for a while. Need to update my CPU though so waiting until my current payments run out and then look into that. Mainly playing FFXIV so the next time I would be looking at GPU upgrades would be in 2 years or so when the next expansion drops (if they do graphical update again, otherwise if it runs fine on the current setup, I'm not changing it)
Nice, yeah im probably gonna go for a full new system as my CPU is showing its age a bit, i have the Ryzen 3800x, so for editing and stuff a full new rig with faster ssd would be tasty!
I have a 3600 and want to keep my AM4 motherboard so looking to upgrade to a 5700x3D. FFXIV is CPU heavy so really makes use of that 3d cache
aww yeah i had been looking at a 5000 series chip too, i may go down that route if funds are tight! great processors and so cool how AMD supports their motherboards for so long

The interesting thing here for me is that given dlss4 (other than 4 x frame gen) is compatible with all previous gen dlss capable chips, does that mean the switch 2 will be using dlss4? Huge performance gains if so!
very good point, that would be wild! really cant wait to see what Nintendo is cooking up for us with the Switch 2, I cant wait to see it then get my hands on one! hopefully not to long to go until the reveal as I think march will be the latest!
