It took me a while to understand how to make my staff happy and efficient. First of all, you have to select not randomly, but choose those who have a basic skill set based on what is needed. First of all, you can choose to take those who earn less in the meantime to start putting people in and then replace them, even paying more with those who have a skill and in whom you can invest.

Later, when you start to unlock training rooms, laboratories and so on, it is good to invest in your employees by improving their skills and increasing their salary a bit, it will not be a waste of money, but they will improve the performance of the museum. Having specific skills is also useful for exploration missions, because it will block new things.

So I invested in them, increasing the salary, creating specific skills, creating a nice staff room where they have everything they need and finally a bathroom dedicated to them.

If there's something no one enjoys, it's underpaid labor! Your museums grow, so do your numbers! Make sure everyone is happy and satisfied with their wage! You could even push it a bit more and pay everyone a little more than they deserve! It's all about being generous :D

My advice on staff is

  • Satisfy all pay request when you got enough profit

  • Sometimes, raise 1% for all.

  • Only hire "Loyal" Staff

  • For the skills, put 3 main skill. they all the same one, and 2 "Happy Thought". In this case, 3 Customer service, 2 Happy thought. so your staff wont easily get sad, or want to resign.

    Skills explained:

  • Early game
Pick the best skill for your need (don't pick happy thought or aerodynamic)
    Always pick Loyal!

  • Mid game
Same as Early, but try finding more traits, like Loyal + Nice Smelling Face

  • End game
Pick what ever you like, but i will try to turn them into a ghost. its the best you can get.

    For

For zoning or anything related to exibits placement, do as much as you think its best. they gonna walk whenever they want too.
If you have big Museum, put more than 3 staff room each corner, so they have time to walk.
Put some food and drinks.

Taking random employees and not taking care of it in a similar situation, where there is no satisfaction, money is not enough and the work is not done in the best way.

I don't have many employees and it's not been that long since I started Two Point Museum, but I can say one thing... the staff must be chosen with extreme care, and, if there aren't the right characteristics, propose a job until the right one is found. I preferred to wait and take at least one member of staff different from the other with their own peculiarities in order to face any obstacle. And then the knowledge of a museum is varied, so having an explorer or two for each category is the best thing. Then training is important, giving targeted training to each employee (obviously it takes time) but I believe it will bring advantages to your museum.

Payments are also important, paying them too much right away is wrong for me, but giving small increases over time can improve the relationship with your employee, which should not be managed only with money, but also seeing what makes them unhappy and going to work on that.
