I grew up in a PS3 household so I never got an Xbox 360. But I loved playing Halo 2 at my buddies house growing up and I had an alright PC so I was able to play the PC ports of Halo CE and Gears 1. I started collecting 360 games since you can find a lot of them in charity shops or trade in stores for literal pennies and decent titles at that! I'm having a blast going through these games though. On topic when it comes to game length - I find that shooters are easier to drop in and out of compared to RPGs where I feel I need to have a solid hour - 2 hours to commit per session. I recently beat Gears 2, Bioshock Infinite, Halo 2+ ODST and Spec Ops: The Line.
A last minute purchase yesterday as I saw it was in stock at my local CEX. Probably one of the "best" worst games of all time. And a literal IYKYK.
Thoughts on my collection? Is there anything that I'm missing? I'm pretty picky when it comes to games avoiding COD and other duplicates that I got on PS3 (Rockstar Games). I made a list of games prior to buying the 360 so I'm just missing:
Bully: Scholarship Edition
Psychonauts (I bought this on PS3 but it was the PS2 version so the graphics weren't good)
Crackdown (I think this is free on XBL)
Bullet Witch (because I'm a degenerate)
I'm still undecided whether I want to pick up Fable 2 and Blue Dragon
Utterly devastated that it's been taken off digital stores. I'm somewhat of an advocate for 'Games are Art' and this I feel was the closest I've seen a developer be given the brand for a generic army shooter and try to create something different
I’ve got it downloaded on a still functioning 360 so I THINK I can still play it? I replayed it back in 2020 and I assume as long as I don’t connect it to the internet, I’ll have it forever lol.
that and Wii Games (or just Wii's in general). I swear there was a time in the late 00's where you couldn't find a Wii and now they're everywhere (often missing the door to protect the Gamecube controller ports)
Awww fam that collection looks great! I am currently slowly but steadily looking to increase my Xbox 360 collection too! Truly the peak of Xbox! Thanks for sharing! so many classic you could add like midnight club, lollipop chainsaw, GTA 4, hydro thunder, Commad and Conquer 3 & Red Alert 3 and so on theres such a great library here with many fun games to play!
