Whether you're a fresh-eyed, bushy-tailed newbie trying to survive in Minecraft for the first time or a veteran with a tally of your slain Ender Dragons etched in your wall, surviving the very first night isn't easy. It can often be a terrifying experience thanks to all the mobs trying to hunt you down.
We want you to flex your creative writing muscles with this story prompt as the theme. Put yourselves in the shoes of your Minecraft character, with the sun setting for the very first time and all manner of terrors emerging.
There are seven rewards available here at $8 apiece, but to be eligible, we're looking for stories of at least 500 words. We'll reject anything that doesn't meet this criteria, and the same goes for anything that is written solely using AI. Let your imaginations run wild!
