You aren't wrong about it not being super clear. I also had to read a couple of different versions of the announcement to fully get it. I was debating going down to gamepass standard, but I use cloud gaming quite a bit because my internet is fast enough for it and saves having to download just to try a game.

Personally I still get the value out of Gamepass even with the increase and can remember to cancel when I don't have the time to play it. I don't like the game of not owning games, but I'll buy stuff I really enjoy.

I grabbed one of the keys you mentioned to extend mine a bit, I don't think the core to ultimate conversion is still accurate. I only got a 4 month extension of ultimate with a 12 month core code. still ~$10 a month for ultimate which is a deal, but it does look like pricing and conversions are updated as of July 10.

I have to agree MURRRAAAAY . If you have ultimate already and buy core, it extends it 4 months. To get the 3:2 conversion ratio, what you have to do is not have any subscription, then buy 12 months core and register the code. Then once you have that up and running and active, you buy 1 month ultimate which would then convert your 12 months core to 9 months ultimate.

You used to be able to buy 3 years core then 1 months ultimate and convert to get 2 years, now you can only stack 13 months so can only do it yearly. So the concept in the video is still correct on how to save money, just not the execution.

Good spot I thought those changes were only taking effect from September!

O the stacking limits? not entirely sure to be honest. like you say the whole thing is very confusing.

I think you are right, having a look online it seems as though its Game Pass Core to Ultimate conversion rates: 3:2 for a new sub (so no active Game Pass subscription), 3:1 if you are an existing sub
