I've found my excuse to finally play Quantum Break (2016)!
I'll be back with my experience over the weekend 🙏🏻
That was a great game, It was one of the first games I got for my Xbox One.
Did you manage to get around to playing Quantum Break?
I'm playing! I'm a little past the halfway point (6 hours of gameplay) and it's been a lot of fun, the game has unique mechanics that work, I should be done by Friday!
Love it! It sounds like a video games version of the JA Media Club idea 😁
We ran the first one in Film & TV where we watched a public domain film from 1954. It was...interesting 😄 I bet it could work in a few of our other Spaces!
The discussions Kraken (link) and Sturmer (link) started might fit here as well 😊 One revisiting classic games and the other finally finishing games we've abandoned. I'm sure we all have a lengthy gaming backlog to work through, and Itch.io and the main gaming platforms have free titles as well 🤔
I'd be up for taking part 😄
Ill have to dig into my collection then.
Dead Effect (2014)
Played this game for the first time on mobile, then when was launched on steam played again, lets revisit this classic and share some thoughts later. 😃
Dead Effect is a first-person that have an strong influence from Doom 3, you can perceive it by the environments of those futurist industrial spaceship corridors infested with zombies and demons everywhere.
Graphically, and considering that this game is a port from the mobile version, has aged quite well taking into account that it is 10 years old, the amazing and well developed illumination system even superior to some modern games today and rivaling with Doom 3 itself.
The music with those futuristic techno themes give the touch the game originaly was looking for. The voice acting its a mixture between good and bad.
The game is relative short even for casual player like me, you can finish it around 5 hours in medium dificulty.
Resuming, this game is not for everyone, some players can get bored quickly. In my case, like the old semi-retired first person shooter player that i was, i enjoyed it the game, even after only obtaining 26 out of 61 achievements on Steam. 😅
I look forward to seeing your thoughts on Dead Effect.
Did my best, i'm not very good reviewing. 😅
Thanks for this post, it really motives me to play and finish this 10 years old title. 😎
Looks good to me, good work.
Thank you so much 🙂
So I spent time playing Sea of Thieves which came out in 2018 by Rare, me and my 3 friends set sail on our trusty galleon The Golden Banana and we were ready for a new adventure so we raised our anchor and set sail into the wind to the active ghost fleet, Wave after wave of ghost ships fell to our cannons and eventually we were victorious so with the ghost ships defeated we collected our spoils and set off to the next world event the ashen winds. Upon arriving at the ashen winds event we faced off against the boss Warden Chi and after defeating everything Chi threw at us we also defeated Warden Chi and so once again with all the loot we had collected we decided so take all the loot to sell at the nearest outpost but sadly we never made it as we were attacked by another player ship and sunk so we never made it back with the treasure. We decided to end our sailing there at that point, we may have lost but such is the life of a pirate you never know what twists and turns there will be on the seas and so I look forward to the next grand adventure at sea.
