So I just completed the Spider-Man remaster on PS5. I’ve had this game in my steam library for years & I’ve only played maybe 30 minutes of it (as with most of my steam library). For some reason now I have a PS5, I just feel more inclined to play games. Maybe it’s the lack of distractions similar to reading a book on a dedicated kindle v on your phone? Not sure.

Anyway onto the game… I completed it in around 20 hours, which was plenty & I was ready to move on. Was not interested in staying around for the 3 bundled dlc campaigns. The campaign was fun but I found the Ubisoft style Colectathon & towers a real chore/bore. The side quests & activities were also generic and repetitive.

The traversal & combat mechanics were very good but it had a problem of getting easier, rather than harder the further you progress due to the powers and gadgets you unlock as you level.

I’d probably give it a score of 3 out of 5. Decent average game.
