We've got our Game of the Year bounty - check it out and make your nomination if you haven't already - but what are we to do about the other awards that are usually given out at end-of-year ceremonies? Plenty of other categories to cover off. Maybe some no one's even thought about yet.
We want you - picture Lord Kitchener or Uncle Sam pointing at you in a motivating fashion here - to fill in the blanks. In your submissions to this one, name a category and name the game you would nominate for it. You can go for the traditional sincere ones, like best RPG, best FPS, best indie, best ongoing/live game, and all the rest. Or you can have a little fun, and name a slightly more whimsical category, as the cheekier gaming websites do. Best memes? Hottest game director? We're just spitballing. Be sure to give your reasons for why your nominated game should win in its nominated category - video or written submissions are both fine, and images are welcome.
We'll pick ten winning submissions, give their authors $4 apiece, and use them to write our very own 2023 video game awards. In the event of two games being nominated for the same category, the winner will be the one with the most reactions and/or the best-made arguments.
