Remember when you first discovered comic books, and your first instinct was to think up the coolest superhero you could? Yeah, we're doing that. We've got three clear requirements:

1. Invent a comic book character. Give us their name, backstory, and mission. You don't have to go with a classic superhero with powers, but if you do, tell us what they are and where they came from.

2. Show us what they look like. Original artwork is warmly welcomed, but you can use properly credited third-party art to give us a flavour. We're not using AI art in our curated content for now, so do NOT use AI unless you don't want to appear in curated content.

3. Pitch us their debut comics run, their six-issue introductory story.

The best ten submissions get $3 apiece!

2. Add the URL linking to the third-party image you'd like to submit (use the 'copy image link' function), and/or a link to the post on Instagram, Facebook, or Twitter (X), to ensure proper credit.

3. Add a few sentences of context or commentary on the image or its creator.

Once the deadline closes, we’ll pick up to 10 submissions, award $3 to each of the winners, and may share them as curated content.
