Logs recorded between 13 Jan and 18 Feb 3303 provide a fascinating insight into the Melville Expedition. A rival to engineer Ram Tah, Professor Melville sought to unlock the secrets of the Guardians first. He was not successful. The video includes the complete Melville Expedition logs and brief excerpts from the extensive Ram Tah voice logs from "Decrypting the Guardian Logs". Melville's megaship, the Cete, is in orbit around Col 173 Sector LJ-F c12-0 planet A 3. Guardian Ruins may be found in the same system.

Sources: Video and audio for this submission come from the videogame Elite Dangerous, except that I have used brief excerpts from two "cinematic short" videos published by Frontier Developments seven years ago to publicise these in-game events (visuals and voice of Coordinator Hendrix and the visuals for Ram Tah).

Thank you so much! I've enjoyed watching all the entries for this reward - I really enjoy seeing different takes on the extensive Elite Dangerous lore.

This is my first time experimenting with the machinima technique.

I really enjoyed the time I spent editing and writing the script, with the help of a colleague, and I was able to record some scenes.

I chose an adventure theme with elements of investigation and suspense, which has some of the official lore of Elite Dangerous but is not necessarily the official lore.

I tried to portray the events of 3308 and a jump to 3311 in an untold story behind the scenes.

I hope you like it:

A gripping story told clearly and dramatically. Congratulations on third-place. When do we get part 2? I need to know what happens!

For this video I chose machinima approach. While ED is quite flexible for general cinematography, this kind of videos is rather tricky given organic nature of major gameplay elements and lack of any creative mode. This means a lot of re-shots, respawns and relogs to get just the right things in the right places at the right time.

The footage for this was recorded in its entirety in about ~3 weeks period, then put together in around 5 days which were also used to record all voice lines.

It's a mixture of cinematic action, drama and horror styles. It features 13 uniquely voiced characters and 5 locations, however brief.

The premise of it is loosely related to the "Bug Killer" story plot and its main protagonist Carl Burrows. It explores the eerie rumours about the true purpose of Thargoid abductions.

Xeno Strike Force community was instrumental in making the combat scenes so intense.

Enjoy it on a big screen, in highest resolution wth HDR on.

This video is utterly beautiful. You've clearly spent ages setting up the shots and creating the camera positions. It really is an amazing video - thank you for sharing it.

This film is a continuation of the previous short:

However, it's made in a third-person voice, in which he's omniscient and knows everything that's going to happen, or what happened to the miners at the Dav's Hope mining facility And all the investigation and conversations between pilots.

The fragments taken to make it were from a long time I was planning.

I didn't want to include combat since I wanted to give it a touch of suspense and mystery. In which the carrier breaks down and is stranded in the system, among other events.

It took approximately three weeks.

I hope you like it, and thank you for everything and letting me participate.

Super well-edited and cut. We loved the combination of intense dramatic shots and the quiet ominous lulls in between. The music gives it an epic feel too!
