Yo, ho, ho! Here's a bounty we've been looking forward to for a while. It's a challenge fit for grog-swillin', swashbucklin' spacefarers with a fine ear for a harmony. In short, we want you to write your very own space shanty. It could be an EVE-themed take on a classic sea shanty or an entirely new ditty!
We're looking for at least a couple of verses and a chorus, but we'd love it if you wrote the whole song. But what we'd love even more? If you recorded it too! In fact, we'd love that so much that we're offering considerably higher prizes for those who do.
What is a shanty? A quick explainer: Shanties are songs with alternating solos and choruses, originally sung by sailors as they performed physical labour together. They usually sing about life on a ship, adventure, or the things sailors miss about home. They're often a capella, but don't let that stop you introducing an instrument or two.
