The Pokémon anime has, believe it or not, been running for 27 years. Last year, Ash Ketchum finally got the goodbye he deserved as Pokémon: The Series became Pokémon Horizons, which follows Liko and Roy as they travel the world. There were over 1,200 episodes of the original series, and to date there have been 49 episodes of Horizons. There have also been 23 animated films.
