Absolutely adorable and a great rising star—Iñaki Godoy, a Mexican actor whom I met in Netflix's One Piece.

Which, by the way, I got as a suggestion here at JA, but I can't remember by whom.

Anyway, his career just started, and I hope he will continue to entertain us in more movies and series.

My nomination is Paul Mescal.

Paul Mescal is a talented actor but he is not widely known, he starred in Aftersun and got one Oscar nomination. But I think this young man is about to become a huge star because of his new pivotal role in the upcoming Gladiator 2 - Which let's face it, MILLIONS are going to watch, this young man, IMO, is about to rocket to stardom.

Below is the trailer for Aftersun. You can see, I think like me, I think he will take his role seriously in Gladiator and become, huge.

India Amarteifio

So I thought this lady did a phenomenal job as Queen Charlotte in a Bridgeton Story. She really nailed the character, the mannerisms and the facial expressions of someone older. She did such a good job of playing younger version of an already established character within the Bridgerton Netflix adaption.

I’m not sure if she’s done standout roles before but from my understanding they were all very small and minor roles, Bridgeton was sort of her big break, so you are really taking a back with the acting qualities that you see here.

Reading a bit on her education and history, she performed a lot in the West End and musicals. I feel like those kind of foundations really help ann actor become amazing and prepare them to tackle big challenges when it comes to the film industry. With the West End, you are expected to perform X amount times during the week, maybe even multiple times a day, you gotta remember all your lines, all of your cues and numbers if there are any. That’s a lot for young person to accomplish and perfect.

I mean, India is only 22 years old and I feel like she’s completely outshone So many of her peers where a lot older than her and I can’t wait to see her in other things.

Cailee Spaeny was little known until the past 10 months or so when Priscilla threw her into the limelight as the title character, in the biopic about Priscilla Presley life with Elvis.

He career now seems to be accelerating rapidly upwards, with upcoming roles in the latest Alien movie and recently appearing in the successful Civil War movie that released in April.

It's clear to see why she is on the path to true stardom, showing real acting chops in Priscilla and being involved in such a hotly anticipated Alien sequel will surely help her to become one of Hollywood hottest new talents and go-to actresses over the next decade!

Ruby Stokes!

She's been in a few British realism coming-of-age films, like shagbands, rocks and Nosebleed. Her stand out performance for me was in Shagbands, since in other films she has played more of a side role.

Shagbands is a short film that is available to watch on youtube! (I added the link in here). Ruby Stokes is the one with the cool eyeliner and long brown hair (second in the thumbnail from the right). Her performance is really good and captures the petty insecurities of a teenage girl really well. The whole film I was unsure if i even liked her character that much cos she reminded me too much of the mean girls in school but by the end you are quite sympathetic towards her and she conveys this arch really well. The films explores rape culture in early 2000s Britain for young girls and is quite heavy (just as a warning).

She is a really promising young actress and I'm excited to see if she will get a lead role in a full feature soon. The director Luna Carmoon (who directed shagbands and nosebleed) is also very early on in her career as a director and seems to like casting Stokes, so I guess we will see :)

Mia Kobayashi
I saw the musical of the anime Your Lie in April where this actress played the lead Kaori Miyazono. It was a great adaptation of the anime/ manga but it was as stand out performance by Mia. Although she doesn't rock the signature blonde curls of her fictional counter-part, Mia was able to make that part her own that fit in with the vision the musical was going for.

Mia has a wonderful singing voice and I'd love to see her in more conventional roles like TV and film.

My pick is Michael Cera. While he is quite famous, it seems he's been stuck in similar roles for a while.

Several months ago, we discussed how a typecast Michael Cera could shift into something different. EveOnlineTutorials suggested he play a super serious secret agent or perhaps someone in a war drama. He can't be a teenager forever, so it will be very intriguing to see him evolve into new and diverse roles!
