Hey folks, we’ve been appearing at a few in-person events over the last few months, and this got us thinking about digital brands that bring themselves into the real world. On the one hand it can be fun to experience a familiar brand in a new setting, but on the other, there’s the risk of it feeling out of place. I still feel a bit weird at the notion of a physical Amazon shop.
But it needn’t be a shop; it could be anything from alternative-reality games (ARGs), mixed-reality apps, projection mapping, pop-up retail spots, or simply participating in an event.
