Like I said in a previous bounty, I haven’t played Minecraft long so I’m still very much at new player. There’s a really cool mod called biomes o plenty and it has like over 50 new biomes. My little sister actually introduced me to it.

Most of the biomes have their own features in the statics and landscapes so it’s really cool to explore and visually appealing. My favourite biome is the one called Mystic Grove because it has glowing trees and purple grass. It just gives a really cool magical atmosphere.

There is a website that has more information on this. I will link below if you want more info.

One of my favourite mods is the Tinkers construct mod just because of all the extra options it gives you for making new weapons and tools and the ability to make the tools etc out of new ores. Using a hammer to mine a 3 by 3 square makes things a lot easier when it comes to mining or a broad axe to chop trees down in one go or the excavator for faster digging things like dirt and sand for example. The whole using smelting to make the tools as well makes it better than the standard crafting methods. The amount of different options this mod gives you is why it is one of my favourites and if I use a mod pack I make sure tinkers construct is included as it is usually one of the first mods I start using as the benefits it can give especially in early game.

For this bounty, I have chosen Thermal Expansion. Below is a screenshot from my modded world.

So why do I like this mod so much and why do I always when playing modded Minecraft, get started on this mod straight away?

So my main love of this mod is I can double and then triple my ore output from each single ore, this REALLY helps and cuts down on the mining time needed to progress further. Onwards from that, I love the fact that I can grow crops, using seeds in a machine, running off RF power, rather than having to actually maintain a farm, this of course cuts down on the danger levels of creepers etc.

I also have another love in this mod and that is the Sawmill, it is a machine which basically quadruples your wood output from logs, and this ends up with a huge stockpile of wood. On the right-hand side, you can see a "lava" block in a machine, this machine is basically a "destroy" machine, what it does is you drop items you don't want into that machine and it gets rid of them the same way as if you were chucking items into lava.

On the right you can see an Ender chest, which is on top of a "sorting" machine, and to the right of that is a Diamond chest, so what that machine does, is enables me to be out and about with my ender pouch, I can simply drop items into that pouch and it automatically takes them from the ender chest and puts them into a Diamond chest, which in modded is the same size as five double wood chests. Which means I can go exploring non stop.

So Thermal Expansion is my go-to fav mod in Modded Minecraft.

My most favourite minecraft mod is one that I often played about a decade ago. The mod was for Minecraft version 1.7.10. It was the Orespawn mod. Unfortunately the creator doesn’t update it anymore since 1.12/1.7.10 and it doesn’t even port to Minecraft anymore.

I love every aspect the mod gives, so basically the mod adds in new dimensions, mobs, bosses, dungeons, ores, and many more. This mod also adds in new values to emeralds, allowing us to use it to make emerald tools and armors. One of the dimensions is filled with extremely tall trees that also houses two of the most powerful bosses in the game, The King and The Queen.

The weapons that the mod gives is really overpowered since you have to make it from the remains of many bosses that the mod offers, which you can easily encounter by getting the spawn egg from mining or through the easter bunny.

Personally the best aspect of the mod is being able to get your own King (prince)/Queen (princess) by either killing them or found them in dungeons. The prince in particular is able to grow to becoming a King itself if you gave it a diamond block.

When the mod was cancelled, there is a successor to the mod for version 1.16 named Chaos Awakens

One of the Minecraft mods that I like and recommend is Xaero's Minimap Mod.

This mod allows us to see the map / mini map around in Minecraft World, for the first time the map will look blank black but after we try to explore around the map it will render itself like we made a map, we have to explore the area.

What's interesting about this mod is that we can also see special icons around us such as villagers, monsters, buildings, etc.

Maybe someone is interested in trying out the mood, you can click the link below.

i never really played modded Minecraft. However, as a kid i remember being OBSESSED with a mod where you had to raise children (baby villagers that you could interact with similar to a pet). You could assign them to a room in your house and it needed certain structures for the child to be happy (i then discovered terraria and just started playing that instead hehe).

I remember really enjoying the added responsibility of having to take care of something in a more involved way than pets in mc. also i found the baby villagers really cute hehe. They also had their own inventory if you were brave enough to take them on adventures. The mod also added items like cots, since you had to 'raise' the child from a baby to a toddler. i think you could also get the child to help you with menial tasks like farming when they got older which was also useful.

I cannot for the life of me remember what it was called though ...

Hey, Ford James texture packs considered game modification?

Ford James's avatar

Hey Sturmer, unfortunately not! We may run a separate texture pack bounty later down the line though, so keep your eyes peeled.

I usually play vanilla survival, and the only modification I make is to the visuals a.k.a. texture packs. However, there is one addon we sometimes use: Gravestone.

This addon lets you collect all your belongings after death, similar to Valheim's corpse run mechanics. I find it especially useful for kids, as it keeps the game challenging but with milder consequences upon death. They can enjoy the adventure without the frustration of losing all their items. It adds a nice balance to the gameplay. Plus, it's free on the marketplace!

I was never the biggest mod person when I played myself but I would love to watch YouTubers like Smallishbeans and Ldshadowlady use mods in so many creative ways. New series out most months and they’d be great to have on in the background while I worked

One of these was the flower breeding mod and I’d love seeing them try to find every possible combination to get them all

I'm Nintendogirl, so even Minecraft I play as if it is a Zelda game!

I present you the Zelda Breath of the Wild Minecraft mod, which includes iconic mobs and some elemental weapons.

The author did a fantastic job bringing BOTW into Minecraft!

I really interest with Security Craft, it consists of a camera that can monitor the area you want to monitor, Universal Block Reinforcer can make block unbrakeable, Alarm can be triggered with the red stone to alert you if someone is trespassing, and some redstone-related block like Password Protected chess, keycard Scanners, and keypads
