As is proper, my generation has largely handed the baton of the dominant youthful force in pop culture to the next. What's less proper is that I find myself forming the same clichéd opinions of most new music as every generation before mine. Namely, that it's not as good as ours.
I am not happy about this. It's happening against my best intentions. Is this inevitable? Does this happen to everyone? Tell me us!
Was music better 'back in your day' - tell us what 'your day' was, obviously - or is modern music better than ever? If you're Gen-Z, perhaps you prefer older music? Tell us why or why not, and feel free to give us some examples by linking to iconic tunes from your generation. Bonus points if you can identify and explain the cross-generational forces influencing the development of music, from technology to business and beyond.
