Let's be clear, you are not a "Swifty" is you don't have all her albums, either physical or downloaded. You ask what her best album is. This is NOT a fair question.

Her first Album, Taylor Swift, was labelled a tad "grandiose" as it was her own name, but that being said, it was filled with amazing songs that kicked her career off, remember this was back in 2006. Since then we have had the best songs, beats, collaboration etc. So for me, her best era, is her starting career.

But can an album launch a career that spans nearly 20 years? A lot of the time the answer is no. But in this case, it is a resounding yes and always will be, because even as a 38 male, I challenge anyone, literally anyone, to listen to a Taylor Swift song and not, start nodding your head along.

Like most people I fell in love and became a Swifty when this album was released. I was in that inbetween stage of my life between highschool and university working dead end jobs and thinking this summer would never end. Thus 1989 was the perfect album for me and that time period. An injection of feel good pop and banging tracks, Taylor Swift embraced that Americana vibe I loved so much growing up.

And I think the sentiment rang true as Shake it Off, Blank Space were constantly on the radio though I'm more partial to New Romantics and Clean. Sadly I became a Swifty a bit too late in the tour so was unable to get tickets and her heel turn in Reputation turned me off until 'The Tortured Poets Department' this year.

Makster hottake: I appreciate the taking back of artists and their works from the studio and 'the man'/ studio executives, but I prefer 1989 vanilla over Taylor's version

1989 for me. One of the standout features of "1989" is its collection of iconic hits. Songs like "Shake It Off," "Blank Space," "Style," "Bad Blood," and "Wildest Dreams" have become staples in Taylor Swift's repertoire. These tracks are characterized by their catchy melodies, clever lyrics, and polished production. Each song has made a lasting impression, receiving extensive radio play and becoming fan favorites. The success of these singles contributed significantly to the album's overall impact, showcasing Swift's ability to craft memorable and engaging pop music.

1989 is my pick.

So many things have been already told, I don’t know what to add. It’s a huge career leap, which influenced other artists by demonstrating the success that can be achieved by genre crossover, inspiring a wave of genre-blending music in the industry, for example, Miley Cyrus and Kacey Musgraves. Maybe it’s just zeitgeist, but I see a connection here.

I'll join the 1989 club! I'm not really a pop-girl, a song really has to be something to catch me. The first performance I saw from Taylor was from a Victoria's Secret Fashion Show my friend showed me. I liked this because singing with Fall Out Boy it had that energy of rock music what I love.

(hope the video is okay here, but still this is your friendly warning it features ladies in underwear, so if that's not your thing to watch, then probably best if you skip it ^^)

The next year I moved to the UK, and my first job was at Victoria's Secret... I was looking at that Union Jack dress displayed in the store every day.

Most of the songs they play at a retail store will have me cringing as they are too cheesy for me and most of the lyrics are not something I can relate to. Then one day we had Blank Space on and I recognised her voice (which is already a bonus point) and I really liked that song so listened to the whole album. Not all the songs are for me, but a lot of them I could relate to at that time and I still listen to them.

Blank Space and Style, my two big favourites got mentioned already, so here is another one I love: How you get the girl.

I'm more of a Katy Perry fan if we're being honest but the only song that caught my attention was Love story from the album Fearless(2008). I wouldn't say that this is better than her other songs, but this was the one that resonated with me most on a personal level.

Twofold question for me - 1989 for catchy bobs and bangers

Evermore for the most beautiful songs.

Midnights for a mix of both.

Any other "Swemos" in here? I'll be wearing a Blink tee singing along to TS with no shame haha

I used to have a PINCH of shame about my penchant for TS, but no more. Loud and proud Swemo 🤣🤣

For me, picking the best Taylor Swift era is a bit tricky because I'm not really a fan of this type of music. So, I turned to my wife and did a little interview with her. Here's her take:

She says the best era is definitely "1989." According to her, this was the time Taylor made a huge leap from country to pop, and she blasted it with hits like Shake It Off, Blank Space, and Style. The whole album just has this catchy and energetic vibe.

My wife explained that the impact of "1989" was massive. It won Album of the Year at the Grammys and solidified Taylor's status as a pop superstar. Plus, the aesthetic of this era was just so cool. The music video Blank Space is visually stunning

She also mentioned Taylor's personal growth during this time. Taylor really embraced her independence. The 1989 World Tour was amazing too, with its epic stage setups and special guest appearances. It's a show that fans still rave about.

This is deffo personal but for me is the Speak Now era!! This was basically my high school album, I had the album, the Wonderstruck perfume and loads of other merch. The album itself gave us so many underrated classic songs such as Enchanted. Truly magical and all things purple!! The wonderstruck advert had me in a chokehold, I remember really fancying the love interest in it hahah

I can understand the hype even though I’m not a Swiftie myself, I think out of all of her albums, Midnights really resonated with me.

I hugely respect the (Taylor’s version) process of reclaiming her music and her life’s work 🙌 her success deserves to go to her, not someone taking credit for her achievements

Would just like to give Speak Now some justice…

My absolute favourite Taylor Swift album, I’m gutted there’s only one song on Eras Tour set list from Speak Now but I was lucky enough to also get Mean as a surprise song, so I did get two!

I will say SHAKE IT OFF. on 2010 - 2015 it's very much great song release but I like Taylor Swift with her shake it off, because when this song release it's make me uplifting and fix mood
