Orexine vs. Inclement (my old team) Paintball

To get you going the left (back in the vid) side with the pyramides are called tipi (cause like tent) and the right (front of the VID) is the snake. In This VID you see which the defense on the tipi side loose as players rush through to the enemy side.

You also see which they change position to make their targetzone as small as possible. Key is which you need to hold the outline and if the other side doesn´t look to advance.

Usally there are 3-4 Tipis on each side, so there is some way to cross.

The Snake is the one which you need to get down, but also gives you a nice overview over the field and it is mostly a very strong position but not so flexible as a tipi.

Yep, No Camo, no Tanks, No Smoke... actually like a jumping castle for adaults.

An iconic piece of defending from a Premier league legend. On first glance it appears Giroud takes a bad touch and sends the ball out for a goal kick. On closer inspection it's revealed that after tripping, Jones falls/crawls several feet on the floor before heading the ball onto Giroud's shin.

Talk about putting your body on the line, what hero

The man, the myth, the legend. I was at his last ever appearance for United at home, he got a standing ovation after the game. Absolutely heartbreaking when he said he didn't want a testimonial because he didn't think anyone would turn up!

I'm glad United fans gave him the respect he deserved at the end, he was a great asset to the club. I felt like he got a lot of flak from rival fans which is par for course nowadays but from what I saw of him he seemed like a genuinely nice bloke.

I remember reading that about his testimonial, a reminder that these professional players are just humans like us with feelings at the end of the day.

It simply has to be this tackle and pass from Rooney in the MLS proving why he was such an epic player!

I love Wayne Rooney. What a man.

Kaden Groves delivered a stunning last-second performance to clinch victory at Stage 5 of the 106th Giro d'Italia in 2023. Hemmed in by two Team DSM riders with Mads Pedersen to his right, Groves was effectively blocked from sprinting until the final hundred meters. Unfortunately, the camera missed the crucial moments when he broke free and surged into the lead just before the finish line.

Hey Sturmer! This is definitely an impressive clip, but it's stretching the definition of a "tackle or defensive play" quite a bit. In a racing situation, a defensive play would come when defending position on track and positioning yourself cleverly to stop another racer from overtaking I think, whereas in the clip you've submitted, Stefan Bissegger doesn't appear to be under immediate threat from any other rider.

Could you give a little more context to either defend this clip in that context of being a defensive play, or do you have another clip you could submit that embodies the bounty theme a little more? That said, including this clip has given me an idea for a bounty we could run in the future, so thank you!

Ford James Thanks for the clarification, I've updated the post.

not just one clip, but a series of clips to help you see the beauty of defensive plays in rugby that either result in a turn of play . a valid interception, or just being a brick wall and running the clock down for the opposition.

I present to you this try saving tackle by Antoine Dupont in the 2023 Six Nations.

The show of strength and sheer determination to keep Hanson (who is one of the best finishers in the game) out from this range is just unreal.

I'm shocked and yet not at the same time that given my early days of football fandom, I'm struggling to find some of my favourite defensive moments, especially so seeing as I was blessed with seeing the famous Arsenal defensive line of Adams, Bould, Dixon, Winterburn and Keown (so more of a back 5 that day but even so!) in my first ever game!

I'll find something and get that submission in!

There'll definitely be something with Adams and Keown, those two were brutal!

We absolutely cannot talk defensive plays without mentioning Senna v Mansell at the 92 Monaco GP. Mansell on fresh tires and the mighty Williams FW14B (which I think had the active suspension too at that point) was considerably quicker than Senna. But Ayrton being Ayrton would use every ounce of his talent to try and keep the Williams at bay.

Video won’t embed due to F1 being F1 but if you can click through to YouTube to see the a short overview of this race 👇

I wish I was around to see this era of F1. I started watching around 2000, the Schumacher/Barrichello time at Ferrari, but I've always looked back fondly at the Mansell/Senna battles.

This clip is brutal, the tackle was "unintentional" but as the match went on they kept clashing so by the end even the commentators started to say this was done. Very brutal tackle, I loved it.

There's no better than Kyle Walker saving a Mohammed Salah strike in the last minute of the Community Shield final in 2019 sending the game to penalties which Man City eventually won. Enough said! https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HhjBTWTBBp0

One of the best tackles I've ever seen was at Wordl Cup France 98, I remember watching this thinking Ronaldo, The GOAT, was going to score after running half the pitch and skinning a defender but then outa nowhere De Boer gets him with this legit perfect tackle! Incredible football! This was a really incredible game also! It felt like one of the best attacks against one of the best defenses! The footage is a bit blurry but when it goes to the slow mo replay you will see what I mean!

A nice save on the line from James Milner he definitely wasn't going to let that ball go in.
