I live in rural Oregon on top of a mountain where the maximum internet speed is a 1mbps upload and 10mbps download. I don't have the high-performance dish (which is what will now no longer come with the SL Mesh router), but I'm still able to stream at 1080p and have up/down rates of up to 30/180mbps.
The high-performance dish costs $2,500, over four times the $600 price tag of the standard dish, and now the HP dish will no longer come bundled with a router--a value of $250.
Pricing for Starlink's service has gone up twice since I've had it. I hope they don't come after the bundled router for the standard dish next, because the service is truly phenomenal for people in my situation who have high-speed connection needs.
