I love video games, and I’m obsessed with board games. Mrs Damo just sighs whenever she sees me on Kickstarter these days. In recent years there have been a big rise of board games based on video games, from Horizon to the Witcher. I’ve backed a few of them myself but I’d like to see if there are any favourites amongst you?
I confess this is partly influenced by the fact I have JUST received my board game version of Slay the Spire, which is absolutely beautiful to look at, and fantastic to play. I know it’s a slight cheat since StS is a digital card game so is already half way to the table!
Coming soon I also have a Dead Cells board game, and an Elder Scrolls epic campaign board game.
I’m looking specifically for board games, card games, or TTRpg that are based on a franchise that was a video game first. Which rules out anything DnD or Warhammer based.
