Without a doubt, the wide variety of corporations in the vast universe of Eve Online creates competition to win the affection of all pilots and thus swell their ranks (more players = more fun), so I will try to give my recommendation of corporations as objectively as possible.

High Sec: Assuming our esteemed reader is a newcomer who wants to take the time to learn the basic mechanics of the game and perhaps is interested in trying some mining, I consider Hijos de la Luna a good first option. They have a friendly CEO willing to share their knowledge. They may not be the largest, but I assure you that you will have fun and learn.

Low Sec: This is where my weakness lies; I don't know many low sec corps, or well, any that I can recommend. However, the only option I would feel comfortable recommending is the pilots of Flota Imperial. It's another Spanish-speaking corp that enjoys the PvP content offered by this particular sector of the game. They really like small roams and fights where everything is against them (and surprising prey when it's confident).

Null Sec: This is a space where the number of corporations that exist is enormous, especially when we want to see the differences between one and another. In other words, each of these options is a totally different world. However, if I had to choose just one, my recommendation would be FW Scuad, a corporation with years of existence where you will find a lot of experience in practically any field of the game. Undoubtedly an excellent place to learn and have fun.

For WH (Wormhole space), I have no doubt in recommending the pilots of Contacto J-space. They are great connoisseurs of their environment and willing to teach you whatever it takes so you can enjoy all the content that is possible, from PVE to PVP. However, you'll need to have many skills that are practically indispensable to live in WH.

Brave Empire Inc.

Looking for a home that gives you the freedom and support to try out every aspect of the game? Look no further, Brave Empire gives you all of the access to Null, with none of the drawbacks!

Brave's High Sec division operates out of Khanid, a mere stones throw (or jump) away from the main alliance's HQ in Querious. Players have access to all of the Brave Dojo's learning resources and fleets, regular highsec moon mining, all of the nullsec content available to the main alliance, and zero risk of war declerations. We also have moons to mine in lowsec, as well as the pvp opportunities that come with easy access to low and null, should you want it.

Not only that, but Brave and Brave Empire are both part of the Imperium. This means that not only do you get full access to Brave's Nullsec HQ, but also that of the Imperium in 1DQ. Full access to the Imperium market, IT infrastructure, comms and capital umbrella for those wanting to run CRABs.

There's no pressure to join any of the larger fleet operations, and you're free to just do your own thing if that's your jam. So why not drop in an application? Be Brave.

I will talk about spanish-speaking corporations since that is my main area of expertise:

-Hisec corporations: Imperio Galáctico

Imperio Galáctico is currently the largest spanish-speaking EvE Online community. They are focused on new players and do plenty of activities where you can have lots of fun and earn isk with a very low barrier to entry in all kinds of space

-LowSec corporations: Flota Imperial

Flota Imperial is the PvP-focused sister corp of Imperio Galáctico. They are focused in small gang roams in the Caldari-Gallente factional warfare area and all kinds of PvP

-Nullsec corporations: Furia Hispana

Furia Hispana is currently the only spanish-speaking alliance in nullsec in the game. They are aligned with the PanFam coalition. They are formed by several corporations, and any of them will serve you well if you like the nullsec lifestyle

-Wormhole corporations: Guinea Pigs Appreciation Society

Guinea Pigs Appreciation Society is a spanish-speaking wormhole alliance currently living in a C5-C5 wormhole focused on PvP from small gang to larger wormhole brawls

For new pilots venturing into the vast universe of EVE Online, choosing the right corp can be daunting, especially if you lack social connections or clear direction. Here’s a generic guideline to help you start:

Step One: Self-Assessment

First, ask yourself what you expect from a corp. Consider the types of activities you're interested in and your preferred interaction style. Do you want to be in a large corp where you can blend in, or a smaller, family-style corp that encourages close-knit interaction? Also, consider joining a corp in your time zone to increase the likelihood of concurrent play. It's perfectly fine if you're unsure what you want (see my recommendation below)!

Step Two: Finding Corps

My suggestion is to use one of these:

  1. In-Game Recruitment: Use the Recruitment tab under the Corporation section in the Neocom menu. This allows you to filter by activities, time zones, languages, and more.

  2. In-Game Fleets: Join random fleets and gauge how you feel about the group's dynamic. It's a 'try-before-you-buy' approach.

  3. Official Recruitment Forums: Check out the official forums for broader options.

Step Three: Be Bold

Don’t hesitate to join and try out different corps. If you're not enjoying the core activities or feeling uncomfortable, it’s perfectly okay to search for another group. Many players find their long-term corp home after exploring several options.

Lastly, My Recommendation

Start with EVE University [E-UNI]. It’s an excellent place to learn everything, meet friends, and discover the activities you enjoy most. They provide a safe, welcoming environment, free from early-game toxicity, and pave the way for a successful engagement with both, the game and its community. They even made an Application Guide hehe
