When Playing the number one thing to remember is to always remain safe and look after yourself.

Some things that you can do to improves you chances though are things like .

If you have plenty of berries use them to improve to chance of catching the Pokemon

Know your shinies - if you know what the shiny Pokemon looks like beforehand you will find it easier to spot them.

Make sure you are well stocked up on supplies, It's kinda hard to catch Pokemon with no Pokeballs.

If you can get to an area which is more populated you will find it easier to get Pokemon from raids because there are both a lot more raids and a lot more people doing raids.

I've finished Day One. Here are my top tips!

First off you absolutely need good walking shoes, there's going to be a lot of walking involved but it's worth it!
The event is from 10am-6pm which is incredibly long, you're not going to be playing for 8 hours straight so make sure you plan out bathroom breaks, food breaks and also places of rest! Look after your wellbeing

If you are playing a lot of it, have at least 8 incences, you'll need one for every hour.
You're going to be catching A LOT of pokemon so sort your storage out to have at least 100 spaces free or be lazy and spend real money to buy some

When your box gets full, search 4* and delete everything that isn't 4 that you do not want.

I'd advise using the quick catch glitch as well if you want to speed things up. You should go into a densley populated area with a lot of pokestops to refill your pokeballs on and about a 15 minute look so spawns can refill

Incense spawn one pokemon per minute I believe when walking in this event, click the incense pokemon before it changes to something else, special eyes on pokemon such as corsola which is not available easily in europe and can be shiny

Make sure you are stocked up on pokeballs, don't click on pokemon spawns after 9.45am as they will all reset at 10am and you don't want to lose this

If possible play with a friend and take advantage of the bonus XL candy that is available

Stock water bottles, portable charges and portable chargers, you're going to need them! Also have a backup area to play incase it rains (such as a shopping centre)

Partner up with people in a party, each challenge you complete gives you an extra counter at the pikachu with a hat, partner up in putting lures down also.

I'd say lastly, use raids in person as a good opportunity to meet people and walk with them so you can tackle the raids together and get a good necrozma!

So for me.

  1. If you're in a city, be aware of your surroundings at all times

  2. Food/Drink if you are going for it

  3. Comfortable shoes are a BIG must.

  4. External power banks and charging cables, my advice is at last two.

  5. Make sure you have room to add new Pokemon and remove Pokemon you deem as "useless"

  6. Self-care - don't overdo it. If you need to rest, do so, remember Constant movement will drain you, even if you feel fine, it's something those of us who go to the gym, are very aware of.

  7. Make sure you have the Poke balls ready, all types, collect them and of course, the potions :P

These are my tips for people. Hope this helps,

The uk is pretty warm at the moment so if you are going out for a long time searching, water/drinks and a snack with sun cream can’t be underrated 🙌

Lucky eggs and incense are gonna be a huge help with xp so make sure you are stocked up. Same with different types of pokeballs, you never want to miss out when it’s really needed because you didn’t prepare ☺️

Take a friend with you to avoid any unwanted unfriendly interactions, especially if you’ve travelled to an area that you are unfamiliar with too.

All in all, have the best time!

My major tips are:

  • is to go through your all of your items and bin what you do and don’t need

  • Go through your Pokémon storage and do a clean up. Your gonna need as much space as possible

  • I’d say prep a month or 2 before if you want to try and earn some coins by putting your Pokémon’s in gyms

  • If you wanna buy coins you can do this but try and purchase some extra bag space and storage space

  • Heal any pokemon

  • Go through your gifts from friends and see if you get a lucky - if so hang on to this until event

  • Mega evolution to maximise your candies

  • Plan your route because the event can seem super overwhelming but try and focus on a 4 hours slot so 10-2 or 2-6

  • Put down all your lucky eggs at the start of the event to cover your time of play

  • Try to get 7k eggs only because of the event

I hope these will help! Good luck to you and your feet!
