I think bowling no?

Bowling deffo deserves a spot in the Olympics because it combines precision, skill, and a universal appeal that spans across all ages and cultures.

It’s a sport that almost everyone has tried atleast once, and it would bring a fresh, accessible energy to the games. plus with its global popularity, bowling would draw in a diverse audience, making it a perfect fit for the Olympic spirit. It’s time to roll a strike and give bowling the Olympic recognition it deserves!

Not to mention - it’s so fun playing it on Nintendo sports!

Guys! I'm shocked - why hasn't anyone submitted esports? I'm not talking about the ones they've been 'considering' for two years, like NBA 2K and other sports esports, but games like DOTA, CS, LoL, and of course, Tetris. Especially Tetris, with live commentators.

I believe esports have all the necessary attributes to become part of the Olympics. Plus Olympics can offer exposure to a broader audience which would definitely help in the global acceptance of video games and gamers in general.

I would love to see the olympics have a Ninja Warrior style event.

Having the best few representatives from each country attempt an intense course in the heats, then the fastest going through to a new course in the final. This would have such good spectator turnout and would be one of those disciplines where literally anything could happen!

It has to be basketball Jenga

It's a combination between basketball and Jenga. It's a 1 v 1 game. You throw 3 shots at a hoop, if you score the below this happens

0 you move 1 jenga block

1 you are safe and don't move a jenga block
2 your opponent moves one jenga block
3 your opponent moves 3 jenga blocks

It keeps alternating until eventually one person loses by the jenga tower falling town! It's a great mix of skill and luck involved here. I reckon doing this on one half of a basketball court and having a massive jenga tower would be insane. You could do a tournament and have multiple games going on at the same time! Honestly so much fun, me and a work colleague invented this game

I think darts should be added to the Olympics its becoming more played across the world so it would be good to get it added to the Olympics to further boost that, it would be a fairly easy sport to add as well I think and the format they would use would be the same format as they use in the darts world championships with each set being the first to three legs. The deciding set must be won by at least two legs, so if it's 2-2 in the final set a player must win 4-2 or 5-3. Each country could have a maximum number entrants.

Olympic Cornhole

If horse dancing is an Olympic sport and so is shooting, then surely we could include Cornhole. Such a simple sport with a massive following in some countries, it’s such a low barrier to entry!

I think the Olympics should be reserved for underrepresented sports that don’t have major professional tournaments like tennis and football(/soccer)

IMO Beer Pong should be added to the Olympics! Because it actually requires a great deal of skill to get your opponents wasted before you do. Not to mention it's actually a sport that's recognised in a lot of places.

Plus, how funny would it be watching a bunch of people getting slowly wasted on TV and having to stagger off when they lose?

The setup for this always look professional anyhow. So this should be a world recognized sport!

Tree Falling (with an axe)

I believe Tree Falling deserves to be included in the Olympic Games. This sport has all the qualities that align with the Olympic spirit, combining intense physical activity, strategy, and technical skill.

Anyone who has ever chopped down a tree with an axe understands the immense physical effort required. Tree Falling is a highly demanding sport, testing athletes' strength, agility, and endurance. Is not just about raw power, it also involves strategic decisions and precise techniques. Athletes must plan their cuts carefully and preserve energy, check the end of the video, so see how some participants slow down.

Tree Falling is already recognized as a sport in many countries and features various world championships. This indicates: a well-established set of rules, judging criteria, and a pool of skilled athletes. The sport’s existing "infrastructure" would facilitate its integration into the Olympic framework.

Like many core Olympic sports, Tree Falling has roots in practical human activities essential to civilization. It shares a commonality with traditional Olympic events such as running, which emerged from fundamental human tasks. This historical and cultural relevance strengthens its case for inclusion in the Olympics.

Assuming there is no pre-requisite for entry, I would quite like to see Ultimate Frisbee become part of the Olympics.

it’s a team based sport, can be played multiple times in a short space of time so it’s tournament friendly, and it is the perfect mix of simple to understand rules and incredible athletic displays.

for me, it would epitomise everything the Olympics is about as a viewer, finding a sport you rarely or never watch, or perhaps have never even heard of, and becoming an obsessive fan for the entire two weeks of the event.

Seeing the Rugby 7s become so popular in recent years thanks to its inclusion, I think the Olympics could be a gateway to other high octane team sports in need of a boost, like UF.

Slamball

This overlooked sport is basically basketball with Trampolines. Do you wish Basketball had more dunks, larger jumps, and extreme nature of the early 00's? Then Slamball is the sport.

I think Sports sometimes misses it's spectacle element especially when the meta/ strategy has been honed over many years (often decades) to account for the rules, equipement, athlete body type etc. so there is a lack of innovation with a lot of athletes just doing the same thing. Slamball is innovation of the sport (basketball) rather than changing the meta of an existing sport so it'll be interesting to get more people interested in this game

Slamball was the best programme on tv. Fact!

Capture the flag

Imagine at the end of the olympics all of the countries do a massive game of capture the flag with their own country's flag.

It would be absolutely epic and I'm sure even people who are not that into sport will watch it because it was a game they can remember playing as a child.

Each country who enters could form a 'super' team of their best track, rugby and football players to compete.

I would love it hehe

All Sports must be naked again.

Real eSport, but naked :P

Free running or parkour as these sports have unique discipline. In Free running you have creativity in motion as you move around your terrain, just like you do with skateboarding and breakdancing. Whilst with parkour moving from point A to B in the quickest and most efficient route possible taken.
