Try to look at Township Tale, it is quite an interesting crafting system.

Half Life Alyx! If anyone could look at taking tech to the next level it is Valve and they did with a prequel/sequel to their flagship game

Ah yes, I almost forgot about Half Life Alyx. It was partly trying that for twenty minutes that inspired me to make the purchase!

I am a huge proponent of Puzzle games in VR, and my favorite recommendations for VR reflect that: I highly suggest checking out The Room: A Dark Matter and Red Matter (I've heard Red Matter 2 is also very good, but I only have experience with the first one). They're both extremely atmospheric, with the former taking a more gothic victorian vibe and the latter being coldwar scifi. There are aspects to both that might loosely be considered 'horror,' but there aren't any jumpscares that I can recall, it's just occasionally things feel a little creepy or unsettling. Both are native back on Quest 2 so the Quest 3 or 3S should have no issue with them and I'm reasonably certain Red Matter even got a Quest 3-specific fidelity & optimization patch. Both also still appear to be on sale on both the Meta Store and Steam. No multiplayer, unfortunately, but still worth it, imo. If you want a coop puzzler, Rooms of Realities is fun based on what I've played so far, and VRChat & Horizon Worlds both have a variety of escape room worlds you can jump into with friends.

For multiplayer I'm actually a big fan of my most recent VR purchase, Golf +. I've never played golf in my life before, and this game is enough of a sim that that means I have a steep learning curve, but much like when I got into fighting games a year ago, once you start finding your rhythm its extremely rewarding and very fun. For a similar but more forgiving experience, check out Walk About Minigolf. And if you want to add another shooter to your list, the Warhammer40k Battlesister game is far better than I expected it to be. And has coop as well.

And finally, I know you said Quest-native, but there's two suggestions I can't not make. If you get your Quest set up for PCVR, whether via Quest Link, Air Link, Steam Link, Virtual Desktop, whatever method, it's very much worth noting that Elite Dangerous has VR support, and it is exceptionally fun to play like that. But also there is a VR mod for one of my favorite games: Portal 2. The scale is a little off, and playing it in VR might take some getting used to, but playing Chell, GlaDOS, and Wheatley's adventure in virtual reality is one of the best experiences I've had with my own Quest. The video below has more info including a guide on getting it up and running.

Take up & then cancel the quest+ (3-6 months?) free trial and give the things in that a go. + subscribers often get 30% off vouchers pop up in the mobile app as a banner on the bottom of the store or in notifications & emails. Try and only Buy with a voucher or in a sale. Members cannot buy games that are in + I don’t think. If something is less than 30% off in a sale then it’s not the best deal considering the regular vouchers.

Don’t pay too much attention to the most played/popular/rated. These tend to be games that the kids like (gorilla tag) or that influencers on YouTube are doing “funny” videos on (I am Cat/security).

If you want multiplayer then look into the sports games like:

Walkabout mini golf - fun crazy golf

Golf+ - more serious golf simulation with tournaments on licensed courses. Some people play with the controllers fastened to weighted club sticks. I know a few golfers that got quest headsets and the gear for this for Xmas.

Premium bowling

Racket NX

Not sure what the player base is for online play for most multiplayer VR games as they often struggle to get m/any players. The two golf games I think are popular though.

Some games I installed from the + trial or picked up in the sale (I also ended up buying a 3 after the Meta marketing emails encouraging me to upgrade my out of support OG Oculus with additional offers):

Les Mills Body Combat ( has an augmented reality mode)

Asgards Wrath 2 - (meta+ title)

Shattered (meta+ title)

Lego brick tales - fantastic price at £7.99 in the current sale (AR mode)

Red matter 2

Woorld - (ar mode), basically Google earth & street view.

The last clockwinder

Arcade paradise vr

The house of davinchi vr

Also just a reminder that the headset has an open mic on it for multiplayer. You might want to set it to muted by default in the overall quest settings, then unmute if you are playing with friends. Easy to not realise.
