I used to play Elite a fair bit back when I built my computer, but fell out of it when my Flightstick started crapping out on me. Last night I booted up the game for the first time since October 2020, and once I refamiliarized myself with the controls on gamepad, everything started coming back to me.

But since I've been gone for a few years, I was wondering if there's anything I should catch up on, and what the go to community tools are these days; I noticed EDDB has shuttered for example, is there something to fill that gap I can use for looking up station/market info and planning routes? I mainly focused on trade and powerplay when I was in the game before.

Speaking of powerplay, hasn't that just gotten/is about to get an overhaul? What are folks thoughts on the new system?

Anyway, thanks in advance for any info/tips you feel like sharing, I'm looking forward to being back in the cockpit.
