Pew pew! Welcome to our latest design challenge. This time, we're asking you to design a brand-new handheld gun for on-the-ground combat. While we'll be weighting our judgment more heavily in terms of the aesthetics of the gun design, we'll also take in account any cool supplementary text that tells us what your gun does, including any features that make it unique. Ideally, those details will be integrated in the design.
It's up to you how you choose to show off your weapon. You might want to mock it up in a video, you may want to digitally illustrate it, or you may want to make a blueprint.
Generative AI is strictly forbidden in this reward. So that we can be sure your design isn't AI generated, we ask all image-based entrants to submit a work-in-progress shot alongside the finished design. Failure to do so may result in your submission being disqualified.
This is a handheld gun, which, unlike all other weapons, shoots fire. It's like a "mini flamethrower." It's equipped with a small fuel tank that makes it shoot fire.

apologies for being less active this past month, I have been tremendously busy with RL stuff and havent had the time to play my game as much as before. I barely managed to build a small scientific outpost in HIP 5773. Its called LOVE LANDING (what a great randomly generated name imo) and everyone is welcome in my system! Pub is finally operational and I decided to draw a new weapon:
It all started with a drawing while commuting to work, as an FPS lover (BF, R6S, Insurgency) I felt hugely underwhelmed by the Manticore opressor and this is my solution. By retrofitting ak47s from the year 1947 (the only ones to survive ww3), skunworks manticore labs has come up with a cheap assault rifle that is reliable and cheaply manufacturable by the smallest colonies! I present you the "Manticore 4700", a futuristic hommage to one of the best weapons of all times the AK 47:
SPECS AND INFO: Reliability in the most extreme conditions, 22 shot plasma magazine, medium to short range, dual fire mode (AUTO and SINGLE), comes stock with a flash hider. We incurred in overheating during the prototype stages but it has been fixed by putting a guardian vent (thank you Ram Tah!) that cools air with the energy that comes from the great recoil this rifle has. We suggest to use AUTO mode only in emergency situation and to stick to 1/2 shots to the body for effective target elimination. RANGE: 300m ROF: 600 plasma bullets per minute
PROCESS: I started with my drawing then I used stock images of ak47 and rifle parts by using photoshop and I edited each single part in to make my dream rifle for the 3310s era of colonisation come true. Honorable mention: I almost made a sniper rifle that stabilises itself by gyroscopic action for zero swaying, but that will be for the next weapon contest.
PS: whoever came out with this reward is a genius, I thoroughly enjoyed it!
