A limerick is a funny, five-line poem with the rhythm and rhyme structure aabba. Typically, lines one, two, and five have nine syllables. And lines three and four have five syllables. Here's an example:
There was a man from Caldari Prime
An aspiring poet short on time
Wrote an ode or two
Then tried a haiku
But concluded that poems should rhyme
already paid
