There are 35 critters in Critter Café and they're all adorable. So why stop there? For this reward, we'd like you to design and depict your very own all-new critter. Your submission must:
Describe your critter in writing
Include an original picture of your new critter. You can use whatever medium and go into as much detail as you wish, but note that AI-generated images are strictly forbidden and will be ineligible for a prize. Good moment to link to our AI content policy, actually.
Submit your picture through connected social media (we'd love it if you tagged us and/or added #JustAbout ❤️)
It isn't mandatory, but you'll get bonus points towards the top prizes if you can tell us more about your critter, such as its personality, skills/traits, care requirements and so on.
This is a podium-finish reward in which submissions will only close and be judged on January 17, 2025. The most-upvoted, creative, cutest, effortful, or otherwise best pictures and creature designs will win the top prizes. We can't wait to see what you come up with!
In your post description, please tag us at the end of your post! We're @JustAbout__ on Twitter (X), @justaboutcommunity on Instagram, and @justaboutcommunity on Bluesky. We'd also love it if you included #JustAbout.
Hit the 'submit to this reward' button just below this description - do not use the reply button unless you just want to comment on the thread, as replies will not be counted as entries!
Share a link to your post in the box that appears, then expand it so we can view it on Just About.
Once the deadline closes, and provided we receive submissions of sufficient quality, we'll pick a first-, second-, and third-placed winner and award them $40, $30, and $20 respectively. We will also pick up to ten runners-up, awarding them $10 apiece. We may then share the winning submissions as curated content, in which case we'll always credit your work.

Meet Flufflily 🌸🐇 A charming blend of bunny, lily, and pure cuteness, Flufflily is a creature full of energy and joy. Her mission in the world is to spread happiness and turn any ordinary day into a special celebration.
Flufflily has a unique gift for enlivening events, especially birthdays. When she catches the scent of carrot cake and coffee, her energy skyrockets! In those moments, she begins to scatter magical confetti and create beautiful decorations made of petals and leaves. Her presence turns any party into an unforgettable experience.
Moreover, Flufflily loves playing hide-and-seek, pretending to be a little plant to trick her friends. A hug from Flufflily has the power to soothe troubled hearts and recharge the energy of those around her.
She adores outdoor spaces filled with plants and flowers. She loves being brushed and taking baths, and she never says no to a little treat. 🌸🐇

Introducing Rodianthus :D I painted Rodianthus in watercolour! I'm only a beginner but I enjoy myself very much :D I also encourage you to go and look at the pic on BlueSky because the preview is all compressed and full of artefacts.
Anyway. I designed Rodianthus because I love both rodents and dianthus flowers (hence my username) and I thought it would be fun to compare the two. I studied the shapes of the critters I have already unlocked in my game a little, and realized that they were all Very Round with those beautiful brown eyes and tiny legs. I also noticed that the recolor variants seem to follow a pattern: a more "natural" look, then a "flashy" one, then what I would call a "classy" one and the fourth one which is the most complex and the prettiest. I thought it would be a fun challenge to try and recreate that for Rodianthus!
Lore-wise, Rodianthus is a social and curious critter who can be found in Honeycrisp Grove. It enjoys the company of other critters and customers very much, and so should be kept in an habitat shared with likewise social critters. Rodianthus needs a lot of enrichment, such as toys but also quality time and cuddles!
The dianthus on its head isn't a real flower and more of a part of its body, so please don't try to pluck it! For this reason the Rodianthus is best kept as a Booking critter. On top of its natural cuteness factory, its stamina bonus will surely prove very useful as well.

Hello!
It's my first time participating in a reward, thank you JustAbout and Critter Café for organizing this!
I present to you: Gobliblin, whom I painted by hand in Krita! Gobliblin loves trinkets, moss and mushrooms. They can be found in Emerald Bay rummaging through the trash or combing the sand in search for shiny things.
Due to their love of trinkets, they can make excellent critter in booking session, though people are advice to keep their keys and other shiny objects in their pockets. They will love to show their own trinkets to guests, for everyone's delight.
Please remember to give enrichment in Gobliblin's enclosure by regularly hiding colorful buttons and polished pebbles in corners and under leaves, so they can rummage to their heart content and add their loot to their hoarding pile hidden in their nest!

This littler critter is called Bumblee. Bumblee favourite place to hang out is Honeycrisp Grove near the other bee hives.
Bumblee loves to play games and this is the best way to increase bonding with Bumblee.
Bumblee dislikes loud noises.
Personality - Fun loving
Trait - Happiness reduces margin of error for cafe minigames.
This is the rainbow Bumblee variant.

Meet Swirom. I was drawing something cute and the body and eyes of that cute lemur from the animation Madagascar, Mort, came to mind haha. As he's a hybrid, I added the fins of a fish and this was the result! Don't be fooled by his cuteness, he can be quite temperamental.
