Remember this guy?
Well that's Flea from Red Hot Chili Peppers!

That's the second time I've seen Flea mentioned this week. The guy is over 60 years old now and still rocks! 🤘

I had to do a double take when I saw the image above. I thought it was included in error. 😂

Oh man that's a throw back.

A great contender is all the metal and rock stars in Brutal Legend: Ozzy, Lemmy, Rob Halford, and Tenacious D

I always enjoyed Friends for cameos and for some reason Chris Isaak always comes to mind. He played a kids’ troubadour and a brief love interest of Phoebe’s. A really laid back acting style but he fit in well into the cast and wasn’t so crazy famous he derailed the whole episode (see Brad Pitt, Bruce Willis).

Everytime that Snoop Dogg shows up in WWE, it’s always hilarious 🙌

This might seem like choosing an easy option but Old Gods of Asgard have recently appeared again in Alan Wake II!

I know this isn't the craziest of cross-overs, but I prefer this over having musicians randomly show up as player skins in Call of Duty.

The band, otherwise known as Poets of the Fall, have been involved with Remedy - the creators of Max Payne, Alan Wake, and Control - for many years. I discovered them for the first time when the ending song in Max Payne 2: The Fall of Max Payne played, performed by Poets of the Fall. I've been a fan ever since.

Years later, they appeared in the first Alan Wake game as Old Gods of Asgard, playing in the background as you battle a horde of enemies on a music stage. Back to being just POTF, one of their songs was used for a frankly fantastic fight/puzzle scene in Control. Most recently, they had multiple appearances in Alan Wake 2 - this time, as more than just a band that plays in the background. They're characters you interact with. They even have quests associated with them. It's wild!

I hope this partnership continues for many years. I need more Remedy X POTF!

Edit: In my initial post, I included a song that plays in a fight scene in Control. But I realized, the artists don't actually show up. So I've removed the video and added a .GIF instead that shows the band in-game in Alan Wake 2.

As a Eurovision fan, I always liked Verka Serduchka's cameo in Spy, but also because it's just so random and off-beat that it's just beautifully chaotic and dumb.

My first inclination is to pick something from Space Ghost Coast to Coast (one episode has Thom Yorke AND Bjork) or The Eric Andre show, but this one is recent and cute.

Certainly it has to be when They Might Be Giants did songs in Tiny Toons

Snoop Dogg appearing in Monk was a weird one. He played himself in all but name and of course, did a rap at the end.

For me, it's this one. This is one of Fortnites amazing live events, this is Travis Scott, the way the event was done was absolutely amazing, the scenes changed, he walked around, and he was a huge avatar, we then got to bounce around as the very ground became like a bouncy castle.

It was just an incredible event and it is one I will always remember.

I'm pretty sure I already mentioned Adam Lambert in Bohemian Rhapsody, but don't remember if that was for a bounty or just a discussion, so here is another epic one:

Keith Richards in Pirates of the Caribbean - At World's End

He played Jack Sparrow's father, and of course they had to give a proper instrument to the guitarist of Rolling Stones.

Reading through the other submissions has brought to mind my absolute favourite one:

Colin Hay in Scrubs - My Overkill. One of my favourite programmes ever that had so many incredible moments but it's dedication to quality music was epic.

I have one movie in mind, and it's not just my favourite guest appearance, I'm actually recommending to watch it (or rewatch if you saw it a while ago) as it's a nostalgic and culturally rich film that's still enjoyable today.

It's "Desperately Seeking Susan" (1985) with Madonna as the main actress.

Hard to believe, but it's almost 40 years old, and this movie is like a time-capsule. It captures the NY vibe, a mix of fashion, music, and cultural values of that era. Plus, it showcases Madonna’s performance at the start of her career, which is pretty iconic.

The storyline is quirky and fun, revolving around mistaken identity and adventure, and the strong female leads really make it ahead of it's release time.

Green Day in the Simpsons Movie

https://www.youtube.com/embed/W32yWvukWuM?feature=oembed

Green Day had a comedic appearance in the Simpsons Movie by singing a rock version of the Simpsons theme but it was the part of their floating stage sinking into the lake and they switched to musical instruments and copied the scene from the titanic with the band that was the best part of their cameo.
