I thought all in all it was a pretty exciting event.

It's nice to get some more firm release dates for games that have been TBA for a long time and there were lots of positive and confidence boosting gameplay streams too.

Star wars for one I feel a lot of press have been poo pooing the gameplay shown, but if the reassurance from ubisoft is legit then there's a lot to be excited about for it.

New World coming to consoles, and the relief of getting the release date for Night Springs DLC for Alan Wake 2 was a massive win for me!

8/10

I'd give the summer game fest a 7/10. I thought the selection was good. I saw a few games that were already on my wish list and some that I thought might be fun, like Fear The Spotlight and Black Myth Wukong. However, lately, I haven't come across many games that I wanted immediately. I was hoping the Summer fest would have something that I would find really interesting and exciting to look forward to, but the ones I was interested in, I already knew about.

I'm going to give it a 6.5/10 over the show was ok I knew the games I wanted to see was never going to be shown but still there wasn't a great deal that really got my attention except maybe a few games including Civ 7 and Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita's Rewind.

I’m so excited for what’s to come, especially interested in Blumhouse games and what they have coming up. Also innersloth’s announcement of Outersloth was so cool.

As someone who stills needs to get their hands on a ps5, the Alan wake 2 announcement has me so jealous

Hiya

Sorry i had to get help to write this as my friend said my first reply was going to come across as rude

The only thing I got excited about was Delta Force: Black Hawk Down. I love the film, and the books, to be able to play that is going to be amazing.

As for the rest of it, a few decent titles like Civilization VII, but like the PCGamer show, it was filled with questionable games, indie stuff and to me personally, it highlighted what is wrong with the gaming industry. Games being released and rushed out, having no real point to them, maybe its because I'm38 and I like games to have a meaning behind them.

But on the whole, I was kinda just ignoring it a lot of the time and only peaking back in when I heard something I was interested in.

6/10, mainly because it was followed by xbox show which was much more informative

Having seen the presentations across the week of Summer Games Fest it's made me feel even more passionate to see so much creativity and talent has gone into the upcoming games over the next 12 months and beyond within the industry, I really enjoyed that the indie game developers got their spotlight to show off projects they've been working on to give their fans of whats to come, the Xbox showcase was awesome showing off new and restored games that are in development which the game studios have worked hard at some very impressive gameplay I've seen in titles. Ideally my favourite 3 games that I can't wait to play are Perfect Dark, Fable and Atomfall which is basically a British Fallout standalone game. Also Zombies returning to the new Black Ops game on round based? Hello that's a big yes from me!

Summer Games Fest improves each year continuing the legacy on from E3, it may not be the same as the once-loved expo we all got excited about every year but this new layout of game showcases is what gaming should really be about!

Honestly not a great deal stood out for me. You can tell the big companies are holding back the good stuff for their own streams. The biggest hitter was, what, Lego Horizon? That’s fine but it’s not the kind of big original launches E3 of old used to see. And the format is repetitive with a few seconds of narrative between strings of short trailers. “Here’s another one”… “Wow! That was great. Here’s another one!” … “That’s out in 2025. Here’s another one”. 3/10 for me. I’m sure there’s lots others found interesting but little of interest for me personally.

I found this years Summer Game Fest very impressive, as there are a lot of games that I look forward to playing this year and in 2025. These include:

• Phantom Blade Zero.
• Neva.
• Black Myth Wukong.
• War Hammer 40,000: Space Marine. • Street Fighter 6.

• Dragon Ball: Sparking! Zero.
• Fatal Fury: City of the Wolves. • The First Descendant.
• Sonic X Shadow Generations.

Overall I’m giving this showcase an 8/10.

First i was like, boah this oldschool graphic is this a retro show?
Than i thought about indi?!

Funny is which you see who bought assest from store.
Some games just looks so similar, with touch of diffrent graphics but the Frame was the same.

It´s fine, may some of them i will play. But still funny how games overlay, Frames, inventar and other stuff start lookling like the inside of a driver seat of a car :P

I just watching a while, it's great opening and I just focus on Batman Arkham Shadow. this is what I'm waiting for, but fall still along time to go

I'll give it a "I sure miss E3/10."

Apart from maybe Civ VII and Batman VR, there was nothing really there I cared about, though obviously most big studios are keeping the big reveals for their own shows, which is fair enough. We all knew it was going to be a slow year for the industry anyway, and it kind of proved it. People memeing on it and on Geoff is a good sign though, and hopefully they will take some feedback to heart for next year and hopefully figure out what the industry needs moving forwards in terms of shows such as this.

Honestly Summer Game Fest 2024 yesterday was very good with many games on display, especially palwolrd which featured the latest update, namely a new Japanese island which they named sakurajima, the update made me interested, and the most surprising thing was valorant which will appear on Xbox and PS 5 consoles, because I am also a valorant player, maybe this is very surprising because it will be interesting to try valorant on consoles whether it will be like Apex Legend whose aim assist is still balanced or COD Warzone which is very crazy Aim assist.

It was my first Summer Game Fest, so I wasn't really sure what to expect, I originally watched to get the release date for The First Descendant, and not only did I get that info, I also got to watch a lot of trailers for other games I had no idea were coming out or even being worked on.
Definitely excited for a few of the games, Like Once Human, Enotria: The Last Song, and Dark and Darker!
Overall it was a fun experience, especially since it was a free event I got to watch from the comfort of my own home!

I'm more looking forward to the Xbox showcase on Sunday, I'm very optimistic that will blow all these other shows out the water. So I knew this wouldn't have much that interested me, and I was right. The only game I was interested in out the whole 2 hours was CIV 7 but as with a lot of games it was just a cgi railer that tells you absolutely nothing other than the game exists.

Overall quite boring. 4/10

CelestialFlea's avatar

I didn't watch all of it, maybe the last hour and a half or so but what I did see was pretty mid and in all honesty, VERY boring. I struggled to stay awake, a lot of pretty mid to meh and questionable games at best. One or two looked interesting. Killer Bean looks really good fun and Phantom Blade to close out looked really cool. A couple of other interesting looking titles that looked kinda janky and absolutely need time to cook.

As much as I hate to admit it, EA Skate might be the silent sleeper because we haven't had a good skating game since Tony Hawks 2 but it's EA so it's an automatic pass for me but I think it'll sell well.

The highlight for me was probably the AmongUS team's kickstarter reveal to give back to the indie scene, really classy act if you ask me.

My predictions in the other bounty were always just high hopes, so I didn't really expect any of them to come true, so no disappointment from me.

Was happy to see Curiousjoi on stage, she worked so hard to become a full-time content creator, it's nice to see her getting involved in all these events.

Civilization VII was the biggest surprise, first I didn't want to believe what I was seeing. I'm most excited about MechaBreak, it was screaming Gundam design from the first moment, so it's a must play for me.

And when I saw all those horror games I thought this showcase was made for Horror and Cats personally :D

Haha I have to watch it. You're the second person to tag me about horror things from it!
